The important thing for me is that I learned about equality and the oneness of God. Whether you are a winner or loser, king or slave, short or tall, rich or poor, sinner or saint, ugly or beautiful - regardless of what colour you are, God showers unlimited love and mercy on us if we choose to receive it. It is because of our inability, our blindness in seeing the unknown that we lose faith.

He suggested the names: Abdul Rahman and Abdul Rahim and said that either name would be good for me. I instantly loved the name Rahman. It was a Hindu astrologer who gave me my Muslim name.

I think nusrat ki qawalian bhi bohat compose ki hain oos nai. not sure before convert or after convert.

You mean music lovers are destined to sufi Islam?

Nusrat composed his qawaalis himself.

All the musicians in pakistan would give you arguments from sufism. When Junaid left, salman said we sing sufi kalam only.

Its her personal view and she is not an authority on Islam or sufisim. Moreover, we don’t know in which context she said so.

It seems as if Sufis do the hardest bit, convert non Muslims into bad (weak) Muslims. Its easier for Wahhabis to convert them into real Muslims later on.

You mean to say Sufi are working as nursery to provide new recruits to Wahabis. Very bad

Seems to be the case, see Sufis converted people of the subcontinent into ‘Muslims’ albeit weak ones. In recent times they are being reconverted into the real deal by some champions of the faith.

But still sufi dargahs get more crowd than the other set up.

on a side note we all know the role of Sufis in spreading Islam in the subcontinent. What role if any of there of the Wahhabis in converting non Muslims or their role is only confined towards the existing muslims?

wahabis is a later and recent phenomenon ( last century?), and I don't think that there have been much conversion to Islam (in subcontinent) even by Sufis (current so called sufis urf sajjada nasheen are culprit to the core).
