I used to run away with the basketball if my brother was beating me. :sid:
Once, I threatened to de-pantsofy him infront of the entire b-ball court if he didn’t let me win.

Me and sister had our own mini Olympic hula hoop event. I dont think we have a clear winner of gold though cos we both judged ourselves as winning gold.

More seriously I think it’s important for children to watch the olympics for inspiration (yes, the inspire theme has worked on me), one of the girls I used to teach loves gym and thanks to people like Beth Tweedle raising awareness of the sport, the little girl I taught takes part in local and national gym competitions. She’s so passionate about her sport and it’s good for her health and over all well-being. I would rather have all of my 30 children watching every single Olympic sporting eventing than let them play with a Wii or an (i)Poo.

I wish more desis take part in Olympics though. Even though Farah isn't desi but he's muslim and when he won it kinda make me feel proud.

Its a great once-in-4-years sporting event and chances are that among so many games on display, you do follow 2..3..4 games or sportsman.

In my city, gora’s are having the time of their life with Team GB doing so well mashallah …

Its not just the desi’s who are getting excited about it all ..

Also with Olympics there is such a variety of games that everyone can relate with it in one way or the other. In my case , I am not watching the actual games but have a keen eye on the medal scoreboard
