No wonder you havent heard the word Jihad in history books most propagated by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood in 1930s (I believe).
Once there was a discussion on GS, where I stated that suicide bombing was indeed a common method practised by Mujahideens against Russia, but I got in heavy criticism. Suicide Bombings and the word Jihad and Its exploitation have different origins.
