why call everyone "DEAR"

Re: why call everyone “DEAR”

No, it’s more like “ellow moy luvvverrrrr” :hat:

It really doesn’t bother me…maybe it’s because i’ve been brought up around people from the West Country…

Re: why call everyone "DEAR"

There are similar words I have seen our people use. Words like "jaanu", "babu", "chanda".

Re: why call everyone “DEAR”

:cb: Man, I HAVE to visit the West country… would be fun :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats so cheap… If some person other than my family called me jaanu or chanda, I would definitely be like is this person mad or what :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: why call everyone “DEAR”

sorry jaanu :frowning:

Re: why call everyone "DEAR"

I was thinking the same thing and in UK they also say love quite often too like how are you today love.
Such a rude world we live in now where calling someone dear is percevied as offensive/weird tsk tsk tsk.

Re: why call everyone “DEAR”

Although it’s used often where I live, I’ve never heard a Pakistani use the term “dear” tbh

All the elderly people on the bus call me dear and love…doesn’t bother me

Re: why call everyone “DEAR”

My co worker calls me “Honey” all the time being a man it bothers me, but I never said any thing just in case she might shorten it to “Hon” :smack:
