Interestingly over last couple of days i met three men who brought their wives from Pakistan. I noticed that they got a better deal than they would have gotten here, in terms of education and beauty.

Most guys only marry back home so they can find a fairly uneducated girl who is a little project they can mould into their own little minion, who will do and say whatever they want. Not ALL guys, but a lot of them.

I have cousins and brothers who have married back home - this is one of the top reasons, so they dont have to put up with the 'attitude' girls living abroad have. By attitude they mean a backbone. I've sat with aunties who have discussed this very topic, girls from back home are preffered cause they are 'seedi saadi' and 'mooh por kay javab nahin dehti'.
Hareem - another reason that's top of the list, they're willing to take responsibility as most of them don't plan to work when they get here. Again, not all of them but a big majority.

There is a difference between arrogance/attitude and backbone.
Girls from back home are not uneducated. There are plenty of educated girls in Pakistan. From what I know, a lot of guys tend to want somebody from back home because she has been raised in a different culture - and might have traits that they admire and want once they start their own family.
There is a major difference between people born/raised here, and there. There are certain qualities that people have there that you don't find here. Vice versa. But I guess if one is a Pakistani, and values certain cultural aspects in a woman , they are most likely to be found in somebody from back home. Some guys prefer somebody from there , and there is nothing wrong with it. It does not mean they want to control an uneducated woman.

Just out of curiosity .... did the "beauty" match that of the husbands? Or were the ladies much better looking than their spouses?

I personally am against the concept ... if the guys who live here go back to pakistan to marry grls then whoz gonna marry the grls here ... and then the same guys and their families complain that they can't find decent rishta's for their sister/cousin/daughters or watever
