Why Bollywood Songs are not good for Muslims ?!

Brother, after he wrote Jawab-e-Shikwa, all the misunderstandings were cleared. If I am not wrong, the fatwa was also taken back. In Shikwa, Iqbal was representing a common muslim with less knowledge who got frustrated from all the sufferings of Muslims that he saw around him. So, when the sufferings of Muslims were at peak, a time came when he could no longer hold back his depression and frustration and vented out his anger in front of Allah (s.w.t) which was kind of “ladla’pun”, as a child gets “naraaz” from his mother when she doesn’t get him what he wishes.

I even read in few places, that Allah (s.w.t) loves His “Banda” when he is doing “Gila shikwa” from HIM for his bad times in life, because that also shows love of that human for Allah and is an indication that he is dependent on Allah and knows that only Allah matters the most. (this might not be applicable to all cases, but definitely in case of Iqbal)

I think we all know that even though in that poetry Iqbal seemed disrespectful towards Allah (something which Allah forgives) but his intentions were still good. He didn’t intentionally mean to be disrespectful, but he was just fed up of Muslim’s prayers for help from Allah not being answered (apparently). The tone of his language was showing that he was at the verge of hopelessness after again and again seeking help from Allah (s.w.t) for all the Muslims (But he cleared that in Jawab-e-shikwa).

Allah says in the Quran that He would forgive all sins but not ONE SIN. The only sin which Allah (s.w.t) says he would never forgive is of “Shirk”, or showing more love and respect for anyone other than Allah (s.w.t), no matter if it is in a joke or in serious tone. It is such a big sin (Gunnah-e-Kabira) that one should try to avoid it at all cast, not matter if it is joke, poetry…etc.

Iqbal never made this mistake, neither did any of the other pious Muslim poets. But as you can see from the songs that I quoted, they clearly indicate showing more respect and love towards someone other then Allah. In fact in few cases also comparing both love directly and preferring the love of beloved over love of Allah (s.w.t).

I might be wrong. Allah (s.w.t) knows BEST!

May Allah (s.w.t) protect us from Shirk, which has become part of a lot of bollywood songs

Just that you claim to know the “pure” intentions of some poet that make his poetry free from every objection, but on the other hand insist that other poet had some mal-intentions in their poetry so it makes their work dubious !

This is pure contradiction.

Come on ! This is pure poetic phrase , nothing else

Would you seriously take it in literal sense ?

He is saying that ’ My life and my death will be under your eye lashes’

Can any sane person take its meaning in literal sense ?

It is just like saying

*Main tumhara daman sitaroon se bhar doonga *

Your comparing it with Quranic Ayat & dua which actually proclaims literal meaning and belief !

This makes muslims look more stupid and heretic than they already
