I’ve been reading a lot on GS about how people would mind if their spouse did something alone with the opposite sex.
I don’t understand why are they so insecure about it? Don’t they trust their husband/wife?

or is it because they think the woman/man will hit on said husband/wife and suddenly the husband/wife will fall in love with that person.

I think people are insecure because their respective spouses cannot trust the other person. However, here it becomes tricky because you gotta trust your spouse at the end of the day. And if your spouse broken your trust then of course he or she is not your “spouse”.
