Have to share the cutest thing: I think over the years valentines day has expanded to "anyone you love". It could be your parents, grandparents, pets etc.
So my daughter comes home and said that her class stitched something for valentines day. She had wrapped it up all nice in red paper. I asked if I can see it can she said "sorry mom, I thought I would make it for Daddi because she loves to stitch".
She gave to her Daddi and said "I love you Daddi" and my MIL welled up a bit. (probably because I or other her bahus or even her daughter can put the dhaaga in needle to save our own lives) :D
