**Because when girls are born, parents feel responsible for them until they day they are married. When they get married, that responsibility is handed to her husband. **

Girls have always been viewed as a zimmidari.** Every parent dreams of the day they find a good man to leave their daughter with so they can live in peace knowing someone will be there to take care of her.**

But why are some so keen to hand that responsibility over to someone else as soon as they can? I don’t think marrying off your daughter asap is done out of love, if you really loved her wouldn’t you want her to stay around a bit longer?

One of my cousins married a girl whose parents pushed for nikah after one quick meeting, I mean don’t ppl worry about what sort of person their daughter will end up with or is getting rid of her in as short a time as possible the most important thing?
