Lack of opportunities, social stigma, domestic responsibilities - a number of things. This is changing and everyone’s opening up to the idea of working women in Pakistan. The problem is we expect our women to be superwomen. They might be ok with them holding a job but as long as they fulfill their domestic responsibilities. It’s a lot of work and most Paki men are not willing to share household chores just yet. Unki mardangi main kami ajayegi…so yeah, why would a woman deliberately burden herself with more work. o and add joint family system to all of that.. Kuch ghalat hua to tanay milainge… kuch sahi hua to no appreciation..faida?
