So why do people care so much about pleasing people they don’t really like?

These kind of people are easily put in their place, you have to be firm (or maybe rude depending on the situation) JUST ONCE.

The people’s rants that I mentioned just add to the misery of parents of daughters of marriagable age. But they also have a religious duty to marry their daughters. Only the external pressures end them with accepting the most horrendous rishtas and thus the horror wedding stories.
