From my personal experience they do not indulge in eating. Most of their diet is still simple and they watch as to how much they eat. In addition to that they still have to do more physical activities than average Westerner.
They do not have as plenty to eat as Westerners. The other day they were saying on radio that in US 40 percent food is thrown away.
Back home eating more than a couple of chapaties or two big plates of rice is still a taboo. Most middle class folks cannot afford to have haleem , biryani, paya, nihari , kababs, chicken tikka etc etc more than once a week. Then the quantity of these luxury foods is rationed in all middle class families. If they make any of these luxury foods they will have daal or some sabzi dish to compliment if someone wants to eat more than their share.
Really? I do think food is slightly healthier at home without mayo and roti being consumed in a limited amount. Some people I know avoid meat heavily but people can go in excess even if they're not eating out.
And there's lots of girls living on cheap desi junk food and their metabolism is working great for them but as soon as they get older and it stops working and boom food all goes to their hips.
Daily 10 to 12 hours of loadshedding
Daily 2 to three hours of traffic jam
Daily running behind a bus filled with passenger to catch the ride
End result => More sweating more paseena... more burning of carbohyderate.... => slim and trim from everywhere... @muqawwee123@Microbian
Polluted air and water. Even if you are burger class and drinking bottled water, you are still breathing the same air.
Free radicals, that are present in much higher quantity in polluted air and water, age you drastically and affect your immune system, which makes you appear malnutrient.
All that is so true. When I moved to US I weighed 140 pounds, which reached to 230 pounds here. I had to work hard to shed 50 pounds now I struggle to keep it at 180 or less.
above is not true... the main factor is that in Pak we have natural seasonal (organic) foods vegetables/fruits, 2nd meat consumption is mostly average or below average. In west, all foods are processed (even fruits/vegetables you buy) and that means a lot of sugars/starches that make people balloon up..
The fast food, and heavy sugar and sucrose based diet and munchies, the lattes, the cappuccinos consumed on a daily basis is really the root cause...not just in the US but also other rich middle eastern countries.
