put it this way why do bangldeshis call their resturants indian? I have came across many Pakistani (in aus)who do the same and they always say its because by putting Indian in the name they attract wider majority of customers.

Re: Why are all Indian restaurants owned by Bangladeshis?
Dude, you need to find a hobby or a life. Your obsession with all things āindianā is getting out of control. Get a life or get some help.
Re: Why are all Indian restaurants owned by Bangladeshis?
I asked similar question in past. Usually Indian restaurants will only say Indian cuisine, while Pakistani restaurants will read āPakistani & Indian cuisineā while Bengladeshi will read āBD, Pakistani and Indian cuisineā in no specific order.

Re: Why are all Indian restaurants owned by Bangladeshis?
Well you know most of the Indian Hindus are vegetarians, as such they can only run vegetarian restaurants. There are two very good vegetarian restaurants in Tooting, London - Sakonis and Kastori owned by Indians.
As far as Indian Muslims are concerned, they do cook and eat meat dishes but they are not entrepreneurail so they do not go for business. You can find the UP, Delhi, Bihar, Madrasi and Hyderabadi women cooking very deilicous dishes such as paya, qorma, pasanday, shami kebab, biryani, pulao, zarda etc at home but you will hardly find a restaurants being run by an Indian muslim.
Our Bangladeshi brothers grabbed this opportinuity. They have got training colleges for cooks in East London where they train cooks who are then employed in so called "Indian" restaurants.
Same is the case in Karachi - most of the good restaurants here are being run by our Lahori entrepreneurs.
I am fond of cooking and can make any desi dish you can name. I lived in London for about two years and my freinds were really fond of my dishes.
