Chairman Imran Khan’s message to all Insafians:
Why I chose Aleem Khan for NA 122

It is important for all Insafians to know why I gave the NA 122 ticket to Aleem Khan and to understand the man Aleem Khan is.
He is from a middle class family and graduated from Government College Lahore. He went on to study Business Administration in Canada but discovered he had cancer so he returned to Lahore and underwent treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital where he made a full recovery from Stage 4 cancer.
He went on to becoming a huge success in the cutthroat Real Estate business and as always tends to happen, success attracted jealousy and envy – the same happened with Jehangir Tareen. Aleem also went on to join PML Q and was made a minister in the Musharraf government. Even at that stage, when he was not in PTI, whenever PTI Lahore, under Mahmoodur Rasheed, went to him for help, he always donated generously for PTI’s cause.
I got to know Aleem Khan when he became a donor for SKMTH and later found out he had been treated and cured at the Hospital.
Since I have known Aleem Khan it has also been a process of discovering his many laudable facets, especially his quiet commitment to his many charitable projects. When I began the NAMAL College project he was one of the first few donors and initial donations are always very difficult. He continues to donate generously to SKMTH and recently gave a huge donation to the Peshawar SKMTH project.
Aleem also runs one of the best orphanages in Lahore and is now setting up a Special Children’s school Rising Sun.
PTI’s founding member and ideological father, the late Ahsan Rasheed took me several times to persuade Aleem Khan to join PTI. Sadly when he chose to do so, a malicious campaign started against him. Aleem Khan stood by my side and challenged anyone to produce a substantive case against him. Three people came forward but all three were proven wrong.
Perhaps the biggest proof of his innocence, which all Insafians should note, is that the Sharif brothers, who are masters of political victimization through the use of government resources including the police, for the last seven years, have tried and failed to prove anything against Aleem Khan.
For those Insafians who did not know, it was Aleem Khan who headed my NA 122 campaign in 2013 along with Shoaib Siddiqui and Mian Aslam – while I was busy with the national campaign and then immobilised because of my accident. It was also in Aleem’s office that the case for the NA 122 Election Tribunal was prepared by our lawyers’ team headed by Anees Hashmi and Shoaib Siddiqui – all of whom spent countless hours collating the data and scrutinizing the documentary evidence that eventually won us the case.
So I ask all Insafians, who can be more qualified that Aleem Khan to contest on the NA 122 ticket? Here is a man who gives so much to charity and is a clean success story in his business. He is also a man who stayed loyal to PTI despite not being given a ticket in the GE 2013.
All those involved in running a smear campaign against him are not Insafians. Rather, they are the Trojan horses, the fifth columnists in our midst and they are a greater danger to PTI than our external enemies and rivals.
I appeal to everyone to come together and close ranks. We are confronting the PMLN government with its abuse of state power including the misuse of the police and development funds to indulge in electoral match fixing. This is the time for all Insafians to stand with all our PTI candidates as they contest bye-elections. This is what I expect from them.

Then no matter how u made ur money…doesnt matter if ur a convict..doesnt matter effecties of Park View Housing Soceity…doesnt matter the people of Malikpur…

As is obvious to everyone now, Pti is made up of the same corrupt lotas as other corrupt parties - lotas IK has chosen himself.

The same power hungry corrupt party as PML,PPP, etc.

Those who belive Pti is any different are naive fools.

Do you not know Pti is in power in KP? There has barely been a difference - not 'Naya KP'

PML is the best choice in federal govt, at this moment.

PPP is not the PPP, it is the ZPP. They do not deserve to be the federal govt as long as Zardari is around. In Sindh, they are the only option.

Abdul Aleem Khan is an ‘Entrepreneur’ who owns multiple property/construction concerns around the city including Park View Housing Scheme. He is the Chairman of the Vision Group. He also dabbled in the media business by launching an Urdu Language newspaper ‘Waqt’ that was later acquired by the Jang Group.

Aleem Khan first got infamous in Lahore immediately after he took over the Park View Housing Society that was plagues by scandals and land scams. Even though this scandal was small compared to Aleem Khan’s land grabbing of Railway Lands which he leased from Railway on a 99 year lease to sell them off later as individual plots, the Park View Scandal became headline news much faster. The Park View Housing Scam was one of the largest and well documented scams in Lahore’s recent past.

images (1)What happened was this. Abdul Aleem Khan took over a nearly defunct housing society called Park View. Park View was originally envisioned as a housing society back in 1987 by a couple of partners who sold plots within the housing society. They promised that it would be completed by 1992, but when that was not done, restructuring happened within the society and as a result of it, Abdul Aleem Khan took over the never constructed housing society. It was at this point that plans for the new Airport in Lahore were announced and as the society was opposite the airport, the prices of plots that at one time were 60,000 PKR for a Kanal sky rocketed to about 4 to 5 Million.

Seeing this opportunity, Abdul Aleem Khan cancelled plots of over 130 people for allegedly not paying development charges in the society. In addition to that Abdul Aleem Khan added two new extension blocks and started selling them as well without mentioned the fact that the extension to the Park View Housing Scheme was not attached to it but were in fact half around the city near Jullo Park. In addition to this, in his attempt to acquire more land, Abdul Aleem Khan was implicated in a murder case when he along with his men tried pressuring people of Malikpur village to sell their land on the cheap.

Aleem-KhanBased on these antics, Aleem Khan is commonly known as ‘THE LAND MAFIA’ and the ongoing joke for many many years is that ‘Lahore doesn’t need Land Mafia, we have Abdul Aleem Khan’. He is the main accused in Railway Land Lease Scam concerning the Garhi Shahu Land Development which is all originally owned by Pakistan Railway.

And now, the Abdul Aleem Khan with this glorious past has been ‘elected’ as the Lahore President of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf. That itself is irony at its best, the LAND MAFIA now heads Movement for Justice in Lahore.

Seriously, what about the BAK BAK and JHAK JHAk you people are doing, where are the concrete evidences... about that bak bak and jhak jhak and based on that you people have called everyone a traitor, dishonest and what not.. and when a same person.. who is actually a convict ( i hope you understand what a convict mean and you are not as naive as Imran Khan who got everyone on the table but forgot the EOIB scandal, in which Aleem Khan confessed and paid the amount).. and yet IK is looking for excuses and so are you...

I give you example of my bak bak.

I think when countries health care and education is way it is pak, a PM spending money on show off project in one city, do not care about life and future of the country.

Now you are bringing in the PM and CM and what not you are bringing is the real issue... IK promised to not have looters and corrupt and traitors in his camp.. and if they somehow reach his camp, he won't be giving them any tickets.... i guess, If IK ever become a PM.. then Pakistan may see worse... because this guy is supporting the proven chors and not only that... Aleem Khan the proven and convicted thug may become CM of punjab and the on what grounds.. he donated some of his looted money to SKCH...

loot the national wealth, donate some of it to SKCH and IK will make you leader and minister or even CM... this is the criteria of IK and change...

Aleem Khan is apparently biggest land grabber as per PMLN supporters and leaders and this land grabber has been roaming free in a province governed by the very same party??

It's hilarious how people jumping up and down questioning "Is this IK's change" NEVER supported him in the first place, they have been criticising his every action, every decision and some obviously don't even like his existence because of their open/hidden soft corner for current ruling parties but still they feel disappointed that IK failed to bring angels. When he gave tickets to youth professionals no one voted them, even someone like Waleed Iqbal who is not only Allama Iqbal's grand son but highly educated professional, honest and inspiring personality lost by almost 100,000 votes to someone who has same reputation as Aleem Khan.

exactly....spot on and i have been saying this for a long time. blame our people first who will always vote for bradari, who will vote for their party no matter how pathetic the candidate is, who will vote for that person who maybe characterless but is viewed "influential"..they will laugh at a candidate who will have solid character but who refuses to do the wrong stuff

imran has learnt the lesson and that is why he is also collecting "electable candidates" .... but he shd mellow down his naya pakistan slogan. and PTI fans shd stop creating stories to label a characterless candidate as if he is a great person. just accept that khan has decided to go for a rough candidate to win the seat. in coming days, you will see many such candidates from PTI base. and this is politics.

His intentions are same, his ideology or vision of "Naya Pakistan" hasn't changed. Yes the route may have changed, he may have thought that people would vote for educated, honest and new people based on ideology alone but that is NOT the case in practical world. Not sure why he should stop thinking about new Pakistan when he is implementing his ideologies in KPK. An independent system where even his closest and favourite workers have been arrested by Ehtisaab Commission. Naya Pakistan can't be formed with Imran having a magic stick that will tell him who is honest and who is not. He is up against people who openly claim that they belong to family of robbers and and "Badmash" and still win elections. At least he has invited people to bring any evidence against him which no one could, not sure what his options are here.

and IK options and choices are very clear...he has decided to fight with fire by using fire. hence aleem khan has been awarded a ticket. remember, he did not award aleem khan a ticket in 2013 due to his bad reputation

so PTI fans shd stop "creating stories" to label a characterless candidate as if he is a great person. just accept that your leader imran khan has decided to go for a route that involves fielding rough candidates to win seats. in coming days, you will see many candidates like aleem khan from PTI base....so make your life easy and sit tight. it will be one hell of a ride.

Agreed 100% and hence i didn't claim that Aleem Khan was innocent. It's not easy at the same time to deny someone ticket based on rumours. There won't be many left if that was the sole criteria.
It's another case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. Like family politics accusations at Reham from all corners for just a speech in jalsa when Imran kept saying she holds no position and not using KPK government resources or protocol. When they decided not to even attend jalsas, everyone started saying "Look he is stopping a woman to participate in politics".
