Why Aisha?

Re: Why Aisha?

it was the Egyptian contignent killed uthman[ra] NOT the iraqis
how can you make up stories like that?
and Amr bin As played a huge role in this uprising......

Re: Why Aisha?

Your answer lies in the following statement of Hz. Ali (ra). [See the words in Bold]

“Leave me and seek some one else. We are facing a matter which has (several) faces and colours, which neither hearts can stand nor intelligence can accept. Clouds are hovering over the sky, and faces are not discernible. You should know that if I respond to you I would lead you as I know and would not care about whatever one may say or abuse. If you leave me then I am the same as you are. It is possible I would listen to and obey whomever you make in charge of your affairs. I am better for you as a counselor than as chief.” SERMON 91 Nahjul Balagha

Re: Why Aisha?

Regardless of who influenced what, if the Sahabah are so perfect, then they would have been able to pick out the Munafiqeen from their followers, and they would have made the right decision of not fighting them. The fact that they wept over what they did is proof that they DID make a mistake. I'm not saying they didn't repent over it or regret it. I'm saying the Sahabah were not infallible and perfect people.

Re: Why Aisha?

I dont think anyone believes sahabas were all perfect/infallible as such.

Re: Why Aisha?

I thought some believe that Ali (R) is?

Re: Why Aisha?

Those who do see him as an Imam. im not sure are blood relatives considered as companions?

Re: Why Aisha?

No Sahaba are perfect/infallible and that includes Ali (ra) and other members of Prophet's (pbuh) family.

Re: Why Aisha?

That would be the Shia's side of the story, and frankly, that topic is another one. Lets stay on Aisha (R).

Re: Why Aisha?

I see someone else making up the stories now :)

Re: Why Aisha?

For your kind information Sunnis are the ONLY one who love Prophet, Sihabah and Ahle Bait. Where as Shia only love Ahle Bait and others only talk about Sihabah (these are the ppl who say RadiAllah o Tallah to Yazid).

I think you are talking about so called Sunnis who say RadiAllah o Tallah to Yazid, we sunnis could never think anything like that about those pious ppl.

So get your facts right here

Re: Why Aisha?

:k:

Well said. Agreed.

Re: Why Aisha?

Could you please be more specific?
which group or contignent was responsible?

Re: Why Aisha?

Bro nobody is saying that there were no peace talks
but the article you posted contain this “night attack” theory which really is hard to believe since no credible historical work that I am aware of cites it
Zubair(ra) and Ali(as) did agree to stop fighting and Zubair(ra) was assasinated by a man Ibn Jumroze(spelling is not right) who was not from the army of Ali(as) Zubair(ra) by all accounts did not participate in the battle
Talha(ra) did lead the cavalry charge but was wounded by an arrow by Marwan( who was as we all know the son-in-law of Uthman ra )
Now there might have been some in the army of Ali(as) by the name of Abdullah like Abdullah ibn Abbas(ra) but nowhere is it recorded that they started the battle
