Heart-rending story
I don't know when will the government and military get serious about eliminating this Taliban menace. Random killing of a few militants which has been this and previous government's policy has not proven to be successful so far. Because all it does is result in more painful reprisals in the form of bomb blasts and suicide bombings later.
The previous Govt started this mess to bring in some dollar kheraat, and nurtured it to an extent that it became a full scale problem. When there were talks of this becoming a serious issue, Musharraf and Shauky were enjoying their kulfiz and were busy hounding the lawyers, civil society members, politicians and the media.
