whom can I call "jaan" ?

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

I think if Mehram means to whom you can’t marry, then Mufti KKF is right

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

i did correct! bahnoii and devar are maHram if the sister or husband is ALIVE! after his wife’s or husband’s death, he becomes naa-maHram…it’s so basic!

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

[email protected] do you eman by the highlighted statement? aur mahram aur naa-maHram meN koii aur bhii farq hotaa hai? yehii definition to hai na maHram aur naa-maHram kii! :)

I will get more information on this and then will discuss!!

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

They are Mehram, but don’t ever allow them to call ‘Bhabhi jaan’ or ‘Saali Jaan’ :hehe:

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

ah.. that reminds me definition of Public company. A Public company is a company which is not Private company :rotfl:

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

see, according to my knowledge, Na-Mahram are those whom you can get married.. now if your sister is in his nikah or not, but there is a possibility that you can get married to him. Eg; You are not obliged to do pardah with ones who are your mahram, but lets suppose if you do not do pardah infront of your behnoi or devar and if gorforbid they start looking you with someother perspective.. it can lead to fitnah and he can even divorce your sister to get married to you. So, I guess, behnoi is na-mahram. So any relative, with you have any single chance of getting married, is naMehram.

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

:hehe:

:k:

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

A person can't marry two sisters at a time. Refer Surah Nisa (2nd Rukoo I think).. It was allowed in Shariat e Moswi, but not allowed in Islam.

I have observed ladies of religious families doing pudah from their devars. Purane zamane main to baap aur beti ka parda hota tha....

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

lol…jaan ko agar life se badal deN to kah sakte haiN…jaise Bhabhi-life, saali-life? [lifebuoy waalaa nahiiN! :D]

**
vaise, agar saali adhii gharwaali hai to saalaa kia huaa?**

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

ofcourse he cant, but dont you think if his saali doesnt do pardah infront of him and feel easy coming infront of him, it can make him like or love her, while brother or father can never feel that way!!

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

Muqwee Bhai said it all! ek waqt men do bahnoN ko nikaah men ek mard nahiiN laa saktaa...is liye vo maHram hai...agar mankooha bahen mar jaaye to saali naa-maHram ho jaatii hai.

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

^I dont agree, sorry :snooty:

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

isn't saali na-meharam?

Re: whom can I call “jaan” ?

well…Allah has made that rule…can you disagree with Allah, nauuzobillah? it’s your choice!

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?

NO...as long as the man is married to her sister, she is maHram. :)

Re: whom can I call "jaan" ?
