Well, well, i used to have this itch of sitting on the front seat beside my Dad. And i had never let my Mom take teh front seat, though she wanted to.
My wife and my mother have no issues about it, they sit wherever the seat is available.
On the otherhand my grandmother always sits in the front seat, she feels nauseated if she sits back row.
