No but you see plenty of desi prossies around. They happily go to guys houses at night hopig that if they provide free services the guy would eventually marry them. Such girls require a slap across the face to bring them back to reality. It's sad to see women throwing away their dignity for money. Honestly the guy isn't going to marry you so stop chasing him around!

What do you call a guy who has no desire to marry the girl...and is just using her ....just like she herself might be using him? Why only blame the girl? It takes two to tango.

What do you call a guy who KNOWS that the girl is mostly interested in his money than who he is as a person.....and marries her anyway? He loses the right to complain.

Keep in mind that Mama Ki Dua did answer the question by first saying that “NO” not all women who marry for wealth are prostitutes. So she’s not concurring with you a 100%.

Even few days back i was thinking the same thing that lahori posted. One of my friend had a break up. That guy used to give lots of gifts to her girlfriend and we all knew that this girl (who was way hotter than the boy) is with boy just because of gifts. Since there was no match (that girl was too much into looks but still she was with that guy).

**There are two sides to an issue. Now, if your friend complains about this girl to you…he’s only sharing his side of the story. You still haven’t heard the girl’s side of the situation. And she very well might be a gold digger. But if your friend was in a relationship with this girl for 3 years…which is a VERY LONG TIME…could he not figure out that she’s taking him for a ride? You say that she’s really pretty. So, did he only enter the relationship with her because of her looks. Didn’t he pick up on her character. I don’t think it’s easy to hide lack of interest from another person. Our body language…tone of voice…attitude indicates if we are annoyed with the other person and not that into them. Did you friend not pick that up? Was he that clueless…or does your friend have SUCH LOW SELF-ESTEEM that he chose to miss the signs as long as he had a pretty girl on his arm? Did he not have his own self-respect to see what this girl was doing? It’s so easy to blame another person for hurting you…it takes more courage to look at your own mistakes and stupidity.

Plus…the dynamics of a relationship are so complex. Losing a job can take its toll on a person. It can make a person angry, bitter, clingy…even overall unpleasant to be around. It’s possible that perhaps the girl had OTHER issues with him BESIDES his lack of a job and inability to shower her with gifts.

Again…I’m not saying that she wasn’t a gold digger…but I’m also trying to look at other factors.

What if a desi girl…who never had a relationship before marriage…marries a guy who is wealthy because she always dreamed of marrying someone rich…she marries the guy…is faithful to him…does that mean she’s a prostitute?

And what would you call a guy who KNOWS that the girl is only marrying him for his money…and marries her anyway? What does that say about his intelligence?

And even if a woman were to date a rich guy…it also depends upon how she conducts herself during these interactions.

Your thinking and Lahori’s for that matter is rather simplistic and extreme…it doesn’t take into account various situations and exceptions.

Lahori, I don’t understand WHY the ideas in your threads are either too extreme or too simplified.

Most parents want their daughters to get married to a guy who is stable and settled. Most guys…don’t feel ready for marriage unless they are settled career-wise. A desire for security is only natural.

Yes, there may be some women who ONLY desire wealth in their partner…and don’t care about other factors such as his character, his age, looks, compatibility, etc. Does that make her a prostitute? Yes, sex is a huge part of marriage. But does this woman make a living by selling sex..is that like a business for her…where she sees x number of men each day??? Or is she committed to only her husband regardless of what reason she married him for? And what if the woman …let’s say it’s a desi girl…who has never been in a relationship…marries a rich guy…does that make her a prostitute?

Now, please don’t get offended if I pose this question…because my intention is not to offend here. If there was a girl from YOUR family…let’s s a cousin or even an aunt…who has a squeaky clean reputation…who never had any relationships before marriage…but married a wealthy guy because she always dreamed of marrying a rich guy…would that make this girl (from your family) a prostitute? Or is it easier for you to bestow this label on other girls?

And even women who might only “date” wealthy men…perhaps their conduct during the date is far from that of a prostitute. There are exceptions…you can’t just dump everyone into the same category. Pathetic.

I simply asked because today i ran into some article/blog similar to this topic. Just like a video i posted a lil while go: who should pay? Had nothing to do with me.
But when it comes to my opinion on women marrying men for their money/wealth/status, i don’t respect that at all, regardless of who it is. How would the guy feel knowing she is with him b/c of his money? if he had no money, same girl wouldn’t be interested.
i personally don’t agree how most arrange marriages work. If guy has phd, he is catch, take phd out, same guy is nobody, he is a loser. Most arranged marriage seems like a business deal to me than anything else
