who should pay [+]

The husband.

I'm not sure how many guls will go on the second date if the guy fails or refuses to pay somehow... It seems that almost all of them expect that its poor fellow's duty to pay for whatever the activities they perform together... Just wonder if this trend had been always like that or they hv started making guyz "qurbani ka bakra" in recent decade..

Re: who should pay

when my husband and I met we both were in college and working full time...so after the first date i suggested that we share the cost of dinner and stuff. He didn't mind. i think i stop paying after our engagement.

it just depends of the situation.

I learned from a previous relationship that i didn't want t a guy to buy my love. So i told myself that i ll pay of dinners as well.

Re: who should pay

I would always make sure to try and pay for dinner...I dont think a man HAS to pay for a date. Its nice and very chivalrous if he does but I dont expect him to.

Re: who should pay

on the few occasions i dated, i paid, she paid. Fair cop!

hubby always paid for us.. he still pays.

exactly why men pay.
back to t1000 question : is G/F a sophisticated name of prostitution?

Sure most women make it seem that way.

Re: who should pay

I somewhat agree to what T1000 has said, honestly i believe whosoever insists on meeting first should pay

haan then again if the guy wants to pay that's another issue

Re: who should pay

after marriage, who pays? lol, well it doesnt matter afterwards i think, if hes paying the mortgage/bills etc and i end up paying for the food its the least i should do. although my situation is diff, as i blew my own money on clothes and shoes and now i dont have any :

Re: who should pay

I think a guy should be and the girl should at least offer. Depending on how sincere or adamant she is, you can split the bill.

Re: who should pay

Man should pay for starters and main course , lady should pay for dessert :yummy:

obviously the woman should pay... for everything.

prostitution?

Women who date/marry men for their wealth. Form of prostitution?

Remember, prostitutes don't marry.

Re: prostitution?

Lahori, I don’t understand WHY the ideas in your threads are either too extreme or too simplified.

Most parents want their daughters to get married to a guy who is stable and settled. Most guys…don’t feel ready for marriage unless they are settled career-wise. A desire for security is only natural.

Yes, there may be some women who ONLY desire wealth in their partner…and don’t care about other factors such as his character, his age, looks, compatibility, etc. Does that make her a prostitute? Yes, sex is a huge part of marriage. But does this woman make a living by selling sex..is that like a business for her…where she sees x number of men each day??? Or is she committed to only her husband regardless of what reason she married him for? And what if the woman …let’s say it’s a desi girl…who has never been in a relationship…marries a rich guy…does that make her a prostitute?

Now, please don’t get offended if I pose this question…because my intention is not to offend here. If there was a girl from YOUR family…let’s s a cousin or even an aunt…who has a squeaky clean reputation…who never had any relationships before marriage…but married a wealthy guy because she always dreamed of marrying a rich guy…would that make this girl (from your family) a prostitute? Or is it easier for you to bestow this label on other girls?

And even women who might only “date” wealthy men…perhaps their conduct during the date is far from that of a prostitute. There are exceptions…you can’t just dump everyone into the same category. Pathetic.

**And I SOOOOOOOO miss the smileys in the OLD GS format. The one where the “rolling eyes” smiley actually looked like it was rolling it’s eyes…and not like it’s daydreaming as the one above.

Re: prostitution?

Bad woman = Take little money from many men.
Good woman = Take all the the money from one man.
