If the said toothache only needed a bit of poking to get it going again...then obviously he should go back to the dentist and demand a refund. After spending quite a few Gs on dental work, he should be able to do virtually anything.

well I don't know if there was only a "bit" of poking...thats something personal between the couple..hence i dont know if he can blame the dentist
he can still get insurance (medicaid etc) even tho he's a student.

but seriously, the guy could sue the girl and there is a possibility that he could collect. I have heard of a case where a woman sued McDonald’s because she spilled hot coffee she bought from there all over herself and she claimed that it was McDonald’s fault for making the coffee too hot and she won in court.
