The educated lot likes Imran Khan. However we in Pakistan tend to vote for the person who is winnable like a maverick gambler and not like a idealist. So there is a common perception that though Imran is good, he will not be a potent force in next elections. Can all those members of the forum who think Imran is a force worth voting for, stand up and be counted. Are you going to vote for Imran khan and convince your friends and family for the same.

I would like to but his party is a mess. I dont know anyone other than Hamid Khan and Imran Khan from his party and I got to know abt Hamid only when he became CJP's lawyer.

I would vote for Imran... Anything, even an untested party is better then the current setup. An inexperienced party relatively free of corruption, is far better then a military dictatorship or pseudo democracy.

i need to see who will be with him in the elections, if they are kins of current politicians then they will not make any difference so no vote for Imran, but if he can get educated and clean persons on his side then yes he will be the choice.

if i was able to, i would vote for Imran.
he is untested and a lot is unknown in terms of his capability, approach, etc etc.
but the other optons are bad. this option hs a possibility of being good.

Pakistani nation should come out and vote. in previous elections lot many people have not bothered to go for voting as it is useless activity and therefore these thugs get the seats. let's come out enmasse and vote for who so ever we want to vote.

I would have voted for him and none other until two years ago.
As things turn out, Imran saab is not thinking in clear terms according to Pakistani political scenario and his capabilities at the moment. This parliament has 1 seat for him. In the next with or without Musharraf he cant be sure of even 1. The guys he sits with today would find the biggest threat in him tomorrow if Musharraf the common enemy goes. The mullahs will be front runners in thrashing his personal life and times, the others would just try to de-claw and clip his wings as best as possible, like Nawaz did earlier. And all that will clearly leave him with no influence or impact on the larger scheme of things, thats where he has lacked tact, a reason why I see a whining ex-skipper with illusions of grandeur.
And for me, his Mianwali or localized policies for welfare will not work. In Islamabad where we're supposed to vote, his power or lack of it matters little under these conditions. As in Khi. He could have worked around it to develop his stature and influence but he remained aloof and narcissistic and a tactless *lakeer ke fakeer *while he could have played well to use his positives for Pakistan's benefit, if not in this govt, for the next. What has he done to become maximum useful with his available influence? He keeps pointing how dirt the water in the pool is and chose to sit in his trunks at the diving board, waiting hopeing and whining for the water and hygeine. Did he do anything to clean, did he find a way to get across without dipping, did he get across...? His hunger for absolute impact on Pakistani politics is taking him down. He still hasn't realized that this isn't the 92 final and he's not the skipper.
Otherwise a big YES, he's the BEST of the lot anyday!

well, i some how agree to analysis of zuberi but i think he should be given a chance to mature by giving him vote for one time at least.

I would have voted for him, but I found Sarfaraz Nawaz a better choice than him, Sarfaraz speaks like a much educated person than him, regardless he didn't get his education from UK.

I doubt if Imran is going to win more than 2 seats & he might even end up losing the one seat he has now. I think Mushrraf & his lota company inc. will make sure, by hook or crook, that Imran is not around in nex NA to create trouble for them.

the way things are no hanky panky is needed to kep Imran out, votes will go to PPP/PML and MMA. after that bandar baant jo baccha khccha reh jaye ga woh anp, pti etc kay samnay daal diya jaye ga.
Imran does not need to be in NA to create problems, since pakistani politics is mainly played on streets and media anyways, as a matter of fact being out of th govt may free him because he can nto be held accountable for what the govt is doing.

I'm just curious to know how is BB making her living. I mean she has been in exile for almost 10 years now, and I havent heard of her doing any job. What is her source of income? Maybe that was the reason why she was so desperately trying to make a deal with Mush b/c her banks accounts are depleted...

why do we call it a deal ? President Mushraff is President of Pakistan, and any one can meet him, contact him, why its not always called a deal then when he meet ao others?
