I have a question for all my Pak friends. If Bush’s plan is followed over the next decade, the US will invest a lot more money and energy on space exploration. Mainly focusing on getting manned missions to Mars. The first step is becoming comfortable living on another planet by practicing on our moon.
Now here is my question. How will the rest of the world feel if the US began colonizing the moon? And then Mars? Would your average non-US citizen of the world even care? Or will resentment begin to build? Does being a citizen of Earth give you some inherent claim to the rest of the solar system? Or is it ‘first one there’ gets it?
Personally I am all for this expansion. I firmly believe the dinosaurs are dead because they didn’t have a space program. I can’t picture the human race not spreading out through the universe over the next few thousand years. It just seems like a natural step in progress.
Anjjan: India can go to space or hell doesn't matter to us Pakistanis .. chacha moon per janay kay khab choro aur apna hindustan ki halat theek karo :P
That’s a valid point. And I agree that is as it should be.
What about Mars though?
I mean at what point do people begin to see it as valid real estate? This discussion is probably 50 years ahead of being necessary. But the subject still fascinates me & I want to know what others think on the matter.
Does your average Pakistani have an opinion one way or the other on the US space program? It seems like a large part of Europe feels it is a waste of money. Which just demonstrates a lack of vision in my opinion.
Have I ever encountered an indian in life who had something positive to share? NO!!! Have I ever come across an indian who knowingly or unknowingly failed to express his true feelings of insecurity with regards to PAKISTAN? NO!!! All these examples give me a reason to hate them more & more each day.
Can some one explain me what these words of non-sense have anything to do with this discussion?
