Since some threads have been opened saying women should not be treated as maids and should not be asked to cook extensively and that cooking should not be a skill which should be brushed upon in the rishta process.
When you are doing a BBQ who does the Kebabs? The chicken? The men or the women? Over here it depends but usually it is the women who do it and I will kill my husband if he ever touches the grill or the kebabs. I can’t let such a sensitive matter in to his hands.
Would girls want their men to know how to BBQ? or would the MEN want their women to BBQ for them? :aq:
I would want my man to know how to BBQ! I think its really manly and cute how they get all excited when its time to grill stuff....its like their domain :P
Kaun think of it from the desi perspective and anyways this is why I opened the thread, to find out who does the BBQ. Ladies what if your husband does not know how to BBQ, then what!
Malika, chutney is so bekaar lol anyone can whip up a chutney! Yoghurt, herbs etc off popped in to the blender for a good whipping and viola! I'll help him do the actual BBQ:P
I want my husband to do the BBQ but he never does, I always end up in front of the grill! I don't mind it, but it would be nice if he did some cooking some times. My dad always did the BBQ, my mom made the chicken and kebobs, but my dad would slave infront of the grill and would eat last when he bbq'ed, it was awesome. I miss that, my husband's lazy :S
I always do the bbq at my place ... from getting the right chicken to marinating it to putting it in the frige for so and so long to jalaying the grill and actually doing it ... its all me and my younger brother ...
I would want my husband to do the BBQ, if he doesnt know how to then next time a rishta comes, my first requirment will be "does he know how to make BBQ kebabs?" lolzzz
Yup, women prepare the mince ( adding in all the spices )… and then hand it over to the guys … guys do the “form kababs and grill them” bit … and then women check them occasionally to ensure they dont burn themselves or the kebabs
