Going by age factor, girls know first cuz they attain puberty faster than boys.
In terms of Pakisani's, I would have to say that guys learn at a much younger age than girls do, even in the west, and way before the schools get a chance to teach you.

I just read this in Encarta that by they time they are 18, almost all boys and more than half of the girls have masturbated (worldwide, not US) ! but, I think this does not mean that girls learn about sex later, just that they are not into it as much as boys, atleast the masturbation part.

i don't know if it was a gender thing-at least where i grew up. i learned abt it thru my friends way back in the 4th grade-it just passed thru all the kids girls and guys. That was 9 yrs ago, and im sure even in that ammount of time, kids are even more advanced in knowledge than b-4. i think i am in denial tho :D b/c my lil sis who is now that age-i feel like she is still innocent and doesnt know these things-then i think who am i kidding.
I started fantasizing (sp?) about sex when I was only 7 years old, no one taught me anything, the dirty thoughts just came naturally, i use to be so horny i would do a woman in her late 80’s if i’d got the chance, seriously i use to perve over our teacher who was in her 50s easily, i wasn’t the only kid either all my other desi classmates would try looking under her skirt at story time too…

I have a question mem...Where did those friends of urs got this info? I presume u live somewhere in a developed country where they have parental control regime on so where it faultered? Did it or not?
Learning it in schools through ur teachers is somewhat different than learnign from ur peer group as if u learn from them u get distanced!

There's no parental control in the schoolyard. Kids will always get this knowledge, and spread it around to their peers. There really isn't any way to stop that.
girls learn about it earlier.........and sometimes guys sound dumb when they talk to girls about it because they don't know much compared to girls.

its true that physical changes occur in girls earlier than boyz, but in many places guys learn about it before galz......
the situation can vary from east to west, educated to illetrate, civilised from non-civilised and from PIND to CITY :)
i think now a days it is difficult to tell because now a days kids learn every thing at very young age so u never know 
but still i think Gal are more eger to know abt it
