Who is the richest person in Pakistan?

When assessing the richness of someone, I think its important to separate black money from white. A legitimate rich person would be one who has the most white money, of course.
That list would no doubt include some of the prime stock brokers and money changing firms. Guys like Aqeel Karim Dhedhi, Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari, Khanani and Kalia etc have got to be in the top 5, if not at the top.
When the top banks of Pakistan call up these guys asking for loans, you know they are rich.

:rotfl:

A classmate of mine had got married to a guy from one of the richest families in Lahore. Guess they were into some “rice” business. I could never remember his name as I was horrified to see him

I was wondering how she even agreed to marry him.

interesting thread…:k:

How do you know a given person is legitamately rich. If Dubai based businessmen, being household brand names....can engage in smuggling, what makes us think someone in Pakistan would be all legitimate.

The person Hawaifire is talkin about...has enough money to buy Pakistan 10 times over....

^ aren’t you guys referring to Dawood ? or is it seth Abid? :konfused:

Ye apka wouldbe susar, Shakeel chota ka bara bhai hai.

Barey barey logon ki supari leta hai, apko kisi ka pata katwana ho tu bolo ? :smokin:

By looking at the 'declared' assets of a person. All these dubai smugglers etc have about 5-10 million rupees in banks, and trillions stored in the form of cash in godowns, because they cannot justify the means of earning on that money.
'Legitimately' rich folks have no problem declaring their assets.

As for the smuggler who offered to get Pakistan out of debt, do you really think foreign lenders would receive debt payment from Pakistan in the form of black money? It doesnt work like that.

Re: Who is the richest person in Pakistan?

only after a few months mushraff would be the richest person in pakistan...

and then showkot aziz

Adershir cowasji?

All iam trying to say over here is...people who we think are legitimate are often found to be engaged in such practices. I have a few examples on my mind, but i dont want to take any names over here.

The other thing is none of these big timers are 100% illegitimate. Most of them are in the process of converting their black money into white. With United States, coming down hard on terrorism around the globe...majority of these top shots, have looked towards other means of income, that are legal and much more productive than what they used to do. This is what people like Dawood Ibrahim and Javed Afridi are doing these days.

Dubai based smuggler? I always suspected Dubai to be a major smuggling hub. Are those just rumors, or is that really true? But how can that be possible? They cut off heads at the slightest suspicion.

:disgust:

No body cuts of heads in Dubai. Infact they are all on really good terms with the Sheikhs.

OooOOh Who are these people… I mean Im just curious, you know :o

Forget richest person try the richest organization “Fauji :soldier: Foundation” :salute:

Drug smuggling is not a captial punishment in Dubai?

Nex time you see a Sadui/Dubia Sheikh sponsoring a whole cricket series, keep an eye on him :hehe:

why does smuggling always have to be associated with drugs?

Noo they dont smuggle drugs....well, even if someone does, they dont operate from Dubai. Its other stuff....gold, electronics etc.
