It depends alot on beliefs. "Only" If you are a muslim than kindly consider the following:
The most beautiful role models for women were the "Umm-ul-mo'mineen" ( The wives of the Prophet (saw)) not only in terms of beauty of the soul but also the way they dressed up and developed their appearance. Any muslim girl who wants to know her beauty should compare herself with them and try to find out "HOW MUCH" she is following them, instead of comparing herself with the latest fashion in the city.
Similarly, the most beautiful role model for men was the Prophet (saw) and also his Suhaba (R.A) not only in terms of beauty of the soul but also the way they dressed up and developed their appearance. Any muslim boy who wants to know his beauty should compare himself with them and try to find out "HOW MUCH" he is following them, instead of comparing himself with the latest fashion in the city.

You guys have done more bad by your conflicting definitions of "beauty" and what makes a woman "beautiful". Girls have complexes, low self esteem, don't know whether to play the shy hijabi maiden in distress, or the sexy fox, and instead pursue their lives living up to the ideals YOU create sitting in your armchairs, instead of just being themselves and enjoying life and making of it what they want.
PCG men have a lot of conflicting standards and many hard to achieve standards to live up to as well. B ut then it is the strong and sensible ones who say, screw this. I am who I am and I dont need to try an ft myself in some societal ideal mold. Self confidence is needed for that..girls need to try it more often.

Here's the crazy part. The same logic I use can defeat my own theories. Telling girls to go increase their self-confidence is to some extent, putting undue pressure on them to conform to the way you think they should be. Probably not any better than a perv telling a girl to go become a barbie doll or a maulvi telling a girl she needs to put on a burqa to be a good woman.
Although, your suggestions are appreciated, allow a female the time and space to discover herself on her own. And if she decides on self-confidence, then fine, and if not, then fine. Either way, any form of judging a female puts pressure on her and then forces her to conform by an external influence not of her own volition.
And that's the real beauty of women. We deal with this crap day in and day out - being told how to define ourselves. And yet we still put up with men.

i totally agree with you, and i speak from personal experience on this point. i always feel that the hijaab is suppose to bring out the individuality of each person. only your personality, mid-set, principles, morals, etc. define you u. the hijaab only makes these more prominent. i personally against all sorts of genaralisations because there happen to be so many exceptions. don’t you agree?

No hareem, every WOMAN is beautiful. Modest women aren't the only wonderful things on the face of this planet. And if you feel that way, you probably aren't showing much modesty through that belief.

There is sublimity in the women who knows how to be a woman and is proud of the fact...
She does not require makeup to enhance her femininity, she does not require a boob job to feel secure, she does not require to show her curves to be accepted as a woman, she doesn't have to flaunt her clothes to be appreciated as an individual, she does not have to stand on a pedestal and try to outdo men in everything to be admired for her courage and most important of all, she does not have sacrifice the commands of her faith to fit in...She is the ultimate woman, whose grace lies in her being everything a woman is imagined to be...
Tenderness of words, perception at a glance, softness like a mother's womb, delicate as a petal with a personality as light as the feather...Such a woman you want to hold and to cherish and to love...
Confused women are like balls of mud and clay...They roll down the mountain of confusion picking up dirt and filth as they make their way down away from the clean and clear path...

EVERY woman is beautiful. there is no such thing as "a woman that knows how to be a woman". no woman needs to PROVE that she is a woman. only institutions that flourish on the basis of male dominance support a culture in which women have to mold to a certain "ideal" of what a woman should be like.
Agree on that too but the beautiful woman is she who follows the orders of Allah and his Rasool.

a woman who can cover up,
who is pious/ religious and paak saaf is the actual beautiful woman not who goes through plastic surgery or wears skimpy outfits etc...

There are two perspectives I see here and both are correct, depending upon the way we look at the issue.
1st perspective. Every women and (also) every man should be beautiful in the eyes of all human beings, because no human has the right to declare anyone else to be less beautiful than himself/ herself.We should not dislike the patient (human) but the disease a person is suffering from (immoral acts). Also no human has the right to judge anyone to be not beautiful as the right of Judgement is "ONLY" in the power of Allah. (God)
2nd perspective.
You can't say that 2+2= all the numbers. 2+2 can only be 4.
Can an old mother say the all my children are equally beautiful in my eyes, even when one of them is harsh, misbehaving, abusive towards her and the other one is caring, loving and gives all kinds of sacrifices for her !!
Similarly a principle can't say "Ok, all students are good and hardworking so everyone is pass in the exam, irrespective of their efforts and exam score" WHY can't he say that ? Because this would be injustice with those who have sacrificed their luxuries and worked hard to achieve good score.
Can a Judge say that " All the men and women are beautiful souls, so we should not punish the criminal men and women " IF he says that, he is doing injustice and allowing the immoral acts to increase in society.
Can an employer say that all my employees are equal, one some of them are sincere and others are cunning, decieving and adopt evil deeds.
Can he say that ??? NO!!
Similarly, the status of a man or a woman infront of the Ultimate Lord is on the basis of "Good moral values" , "manners", "modesty" **and "sincerity".**
SO, For ourselves All men and All women are beautiful because they are the creation of the Ultimate Lord, BUT The Ultimate Lord Himself has catagorized the status of More beautiful and Less beautiful on the basis of the Moral values and sincerity

Who forced into conforming to those definitions of beauty? Who told you to be beautiful in a certain way as we like to see beautiful? You don't have to do diddly to be loved and adored by a man except to be yourself...Don't conform to anyone's idea of beauty...
But if your intention is to be loved and admired by everyone, then how can you be happy? You are out there following the latest fashion trends, makeup, accessories so you can make others appreciate you instead of you enjoying life yourself and being loved by someone...
There is a difference in being loved by someone and trying to make everyone love you...
In the former, you are expressing an intimate part of yourself, in the latter, you are expressing the social part of everyone's expectations...Guess which makes you more happy...
