I had written right on the first day of this controversy that we should not expect any support from India. There knee jerk reaction is to oppose Pakistan whatever the situation.

Secondly, Hair, called Indian players "monkeys" and they took it without even a protest, so what wud u expect from them.

According to me BCCI can force them coz of its Power, If BCCI stands against ICC then everything would be in favour of Asians.

Anyone who was watching the game live would understand the outrage. Sometimes context can provide even more information than you could imagine. It is precisely for this reason that ALL SKY commentators, all seven of them took Pakistan's side in this case.

The match position, lack of any suspicious activity, no extraordinary swing on the ball, the sudden change of the ball without the umpire even approach umpire to inform him let alone warn him, and the arrogant refusal to talk to him when Inzi approached him himself, all these events as they were unfolding form the missing context that is the basis of outrage being shown by so many people. In the case of Pakistanis, we also happen to remember Hair for his overly aggressive and arrogant implementation of the letter of the law and our expectatin that something like this would happen with him on the field sooner or later!

This really sums it up.
What ICC and others have to realise is that this team had lost all faith in Hair's ability to conduct a match fairly. So when a serious alegation comes from a man you already preceive to carry a vendeta againt you there will be the kind of reaction we saw. I still think it was a suitable reaction. Inzi didnt react immediately which suggests he thought about the situation asked his players during the tea interval. Walking right off when ball was changed would have been foolish and the same fools would be saying it was a knee jurk reaction without much thought. So he gave it some thought confirmed with his players and his board and reacted. In the absence of any evidence given by the man that has a history against Pakistan what else could he do. Carrry on playing ? and accept the accusation....... issue a statement and carry on playing and wait what Hair comes up with next. In every sport umpires or referees always always explain their decisions then why not here.

icc has already slapped pcb on the face by saying that they would not be dictated by pakistan on the issue of appointing hair for further matches involving pakistan.they did not do that for srilanka and they won'nt do this for pakistan either..hair will continure on.the hearings have been postponed now as madgualle is not available....this is getting more interesting.

And let me tell you phut kis kis kee rhee hay. It is obvious who was pissing in his pants for 50 hours after declaring Pakistan cheats. His condition was only restored when BCCI told that we would support ICC and their umpires.

PCB on the other hand took the step which no one was expecting. They hired a team of top notch sports lawyers to kick some a$$. Immediately we heard that ICC has delayed the hearing.

This really shows that who is into sucking up right now.

They haven't denied it on websites like cricinfo, indiatimes etc where yesterday the news was that India will support ICC. I guess they are pretty reliable websites and will not post any such news which didn't originate from Indian side.

Bottom line is that BCCI did not take Pakistan's side, good for them. They have to look for their interests first. Pakistan could care less about it, they have taken the first step in the right direction i.e. hiring a team of top lawyers. Lets hope they get the job done.

That is called posturing as both sides are taking extreme positions. I will be very surprised if ICC are able to find anyone for this hearing except for few Australians. PCB has hired the best sports lawyer and that must have send shudders through the ICC offices. Hence the sudden illness of Madugalle's family and his refusal to reavel. ICC's first failure.

I think it's too soon for any board to be taking sides. Nobody knows full details of the incident and for all we might know, Hair may have some credible evidence of the tampering (I know he doesn't, and won't be able to bring any), BUT we have to look at things from other people's perspective to undertstand their stance.

I think India's stance at this moment is not too bad, and Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were just too nice to side with us even before the hearing was held.

I am sure as the case unfolds, and it surfaces that Hair penalized us merely on the basis of his own inference from the condition of the ball, most of Indian Cricket personalities, if not the board in its official position, will strongly align with us.
