Unbelievable attitude by Ishaq Dar. He is fast becoming another Pervez Rashid, with the blatant and almost stupid lies he throws out.

Re: PSO being required to maintain min stock, yes, its true. But at the end of the day, PSO is a govt entity. And secondly, PSO MD stated something about dwindling stocks back in December. Reason why they could not replenish their stock was because they were not being paid by PIA, or Power Discos. Finance ministry has time and again forced PSO to release oil to the limping airline in return for paltry sums.
Re: ministry of finance not owing anything to PSO, on the same vein, they should keep in mind that PSO didnt owe them anything either when they kept pumping free oil to PIA and to power plants, while doing nothing to rid PIA of the excess baggage it has in the form of political employees, or to recover the billions in outstanding power payments from non-paying industrialists because of their close ties to them.

yes, As soon as he paid bills and the generators stopped consuming the fuel, the whole province went into shortage of petrol..makes SO much sense to me

Seems pretty convoluted. Whose responsibility is it to maintain stock? Shouldn't be a problem since has is cheap now.

PSO provides oil to PIA and other government entities, and this organization itself in crisis...I believe there are issues in getting the payment back from these organizations, circular debt it is...

IK ko chahiyee kay apni GaRi theek kerwaye, lagta hay kay engine maiN ya tu buhat zyada kachra ya phir ring / piston waghera theek nahi

Is the oil consumption by PIA alone enough to bring down oil reserves? Country can just buy more. Country is already begging bheek anyway, overall country debt is probably out of control.
