Hi guys…dunno if this topic has been exhausted before, but i’m new on GupChup. Any ideas who really is the hottest male singer? Personally i love Sonu, but then thers Kumar Sanu, Udit, Shaan, Lucky Ali, Jagjit…i’m going crazy! pls share ur thoughts?
I would go for one and only Junaid Jamshed of Pakistan.
The greatest singer to ever come out of the subcontinent.
i wud suggest we shud not talk abt indian singers in paki forum.

i have to disagree, sorry. Junaid Jamshed comes nowhere near the ones i've mentioned. and yes i HAVE heard him before...basically he canot be classed in the same bracket?
Mohammad Rafi, no doubt about this.
A talent that is born once in 500 years.
then Shankar Mahadevan.

I completely disagree. Jaggo is the most boring ghazal singer ever. Music is so identical in all his ghazals that you can tell that this is a jaggo ghazal just by listening first five secs of it.
I think Hari Haran is one of the better singers in Jaggo's class.
If you want the best you gotta listen to Mehdi Hassan or Ghulam Ali's ghazals.
-=- Regular songs -=-
Male singer: Rafi (nr. 1) and Kishore
Female singer: Lata and Noor Jehan
DesiChoza.
Well, Rafi was the king during the sixties and seventies, Kumar and Udit were great during the ninties and stil are but Sonu Nigam is the best!!!
"TRUTH HURTS...."
My pic :
male Singers : Rafi and Kishore ( Cant pick one both are great).
female : Lata ( There is noi female singer of her calls in subcontinent,75 and still going strong).
Ghazals : Ghulam Ali and Jagjeet...
Kishore Kumar combined with RD Burman music is a very very good combination.

Did you see what Lata said when Noor-Jehan died? She said she grew up listening to her, and was never as good as her...
Wesay the old lady is good, but it looks odd when she sings to filmi songs, a 20 year old heroines voice being played by a grandma!! sounds odd... but she is a good singer...
Rafi

Immortal Rafi is the king of Indian film music and voted singer of century by top musicians..
The richness of voice, infinite range of scales, versatility, classical background, equal ease with any kind of music be it classical, light, folk, western, Arabic, oriental, styles has made Rafi a singer of par excellence.
yes no doubt rafi, but seriously speaking, would you put on a rafi album, or a collection of sonu nigam at his best...what about nusrat fateh ali khan for versatality??
I would certainly pur Rafi album any time.. he is a master in slow, fast, medium paced songs.
Sonu is a good singer but no match to the master as Sonu also admits. Nusrat Fateh is a great qawal and have sung few ghazals too but not as versatile as Rafi.. We can say in qawallis hes better but not in verstality..
