Not true. Prophet Mohammad started Islam only in the 6th or 7th century. This is well documented, so don't even try.

Muslims means one one who submits to the will of God. Adam AS obeyed God and hence a muslim. All Jews and Christians were muslims as long as they followed the teachings of their prophets.

It simply means we are transgressing our limits and following what we are supposed to. You need to get the precedence correct. Muslims will be judged against Islamic teachings, Islam will not be on trial for how muslims behaved. We will be judged by God for what we did and accountable for it against what we should have been doing.

I was mentioning the connotation of the word muslims and what it means when dissociated from the advent of religion named Islam. It was called Islam when the carrier of that message was Muhammad SAW. Similar messages about God were carried by all prophets and those who followed them were submitting to the will of God i.e. MUSLIM and those people who existed before Muhammad SAW, who we may choose to call Christian or Jews today, are going to heaven Inshallah! for following the untainted teachings of their prophets.

Isn't it more interesting we do not acknowledge any of the present day Jews or Christians as being inline with their original teachings, incase you missed that whole debate. What we wish for them is to ride on what they were supposed to. The advent of Islam was to bring them back to where they should've been.

Oh! Did I say the name of a religion called Islam existed before Muhammad SAW. What I said is that the message of Allah SWT came in its same essence as it is in Islam. It was brought by Prophets and whoever followed it was one of submits to Allah SWT i.e. a muslim. Your confused with that only a follower of Islam (i.e. the message Prophet Muhammad SAW carried) can be called a muslim. That is true since the advent of Islam revises all previous messages brought by other Prophet, all same in essence but updated in legislation. Those who followed their prophets correctly were also muslim just not adherents of Islam as it is known from the the time of Muhammad SAW specifically. The true followers of Jesus PBUH or Moses PBUH were just as much muslim as the true followers of Muhammad PBUH were. Comprende. Word Christian means follower of Christ, Jews are people of Juda tribe or sons of Juda, Islam means submitting yourself to the will of God and who does that is called muslim, they're not called Muhammadis or Muhammadans.

Sir, muslim means one who submits to God. End of Story. Whenever God sent a message to humanity and those who submitted were muslim whether called by that name of not, other synonyms are HANIF. Please improve your knowledge before you go about discussing this any further. One who really understands the message of Islam knows what I am saying. Obviously you don't and we know it. So instead of telling us, listen to what we are explaining. Or are you suggesting before Prophet Muhammad SAW people never submitted to the will of God. The scope of the word MUSLIM goes beyond/before just the advent of Islam.
Just like a meat pattie in a bun and some greens on it is called a burger in some countries, it is called bun kabab in Pakistan. However the name does not make much of a difference, its the same contents. The name is just what we are accustomed to recognizing it by. Similarly, one who submits to the will of God is called MUSLIM. In Islam that is the name accorded to such a person, during the time of Prophet Ibrahim AS the same person who submitted to the will of God was called a Hanif. Hanif and Muslim are the same thing because the essence of the word describes the same objective behavior of a person.** I can go in further depth using the Arabic 3 letter roots of the word which have nothing to do with Islam as Arabic was not invented with the advent of Islam though the 3 letter root word for one who submits to the will of God existed and the word MUSLIM is a derivative of it. Arabic existed prior to even Muhammad SAW being born.**
