Is America is our friend? or is America is our enemy? in the war on terror
and also another question is “War on Terror” is realy a war on terror or this is a war against a spesific religion?

The United States is neither our friend nor our enemy.
We both need each other for specific reasons.
And the war on terror is not against a religion, despite attemps by likes of Zaid Hamid and Shahid Masood to make it so.

america is too racist, too anti-islamic and in a way too powerful to care
it will bomb us and our interests without too much thought. it doesnt care if we are right or wrong. it has interests and we are too weak for them for them to actually think about any given situation regarding us
they control the UN, they twist the arms of other nations at will, they are constantly threatening multiple states to tow their line (recently iran, pakistan, china, russia, syria, turkey, egypt, even france(2003) and the list goes on and on)
their only true friend is the nation artificially squeezed into into the ME, i'd say even the europeans just tow the line, with keen tongues to show their overkeen support.
america would not and can not, in the interest of its own int'l relations, be seen as an actual and genuine friend of third-world pakistan

ok after rereading my other post, it doesnt seem spicy enough, so i'd like to also say
the pakistanis who supported and put up with the drone attacks including the first bajour strike (which killed 100 plus kids in the madrassa) are also enemies of pakistan. unfortunately this list includes past, serving and future prospectives of the pak army and the political parties
so the question is not whether america is a friend of pakistan, but if pakistan state instituitions are a friend of pakistan!
i realise its a difficult situation but killing off of any tribal pashtuns in both af/pak who can think, walk, talk and any other useful skill is not an acceptable solution to pakistan, me or any other decent human being
i hope im wrong but the Quran say we do it because we are scared of disaster economically. we do fear lest a change of fortune bring us disaster
pakistan will have to gulp some saliva and make clear its feelings. give the americans a longterm agreement from pak and afghan govts regarding international terror and tell the americans to get out of the region

terms like 'friends' are meaningless in global affairs. Neither America nor China are your friends. You should look at it with an open mind - look at what exactly you have really benefitted of such 'friendships', whether it be China or America.
One has to stand on ones own. Goals may be lofty but must be commensurate with one's maturity and resources.
If these two things are not in your national conscience, what is your purpose? why do you have to exist as an entity?

This thread is a clear indication that Many (but not all) pakistanis are socialists, and thus hate America.
These left winger Pakistanis are much much happier in the world of che, castro, chavez, Nejat, Lenon, Marx, stalin, Qadafi, and marhoon Saddam Alaihe Salam.
America or the West in general are the leaders of this world. They setup the laws for global behavior.
If you obey the laws, you are just fine.
If you disobey the laws, you are in trouble.
Establishing global laws is nothing new. Every world power has done so since the time of Hazrat Adam.
The list is long but here are the examples.
Romans, Khalifa-Rashideen, Abbasis, Ottomans, Dutch, French, Brits, and now Americans.
You drive your car the way "They tell you".
You use this computer based on the standards "they set" for you.
You fly the planes based on the routes "they set" for you.
You produce and consume food, and $hite based on the techniques "they have" established for you.
You get healthcare and treatment based on what "they are telling" you .
You go to schools and universities in the style "they set" for you.
So you see, you are living your life based on the standards set by the West.
Off course you can ignore all that, and like a shuter murgh, hide your head in the sand and keep on repeating "main na maanoo".
Off course as a Muslim, we believe that Allah does everything, people are just waseela in HIS hands.

I am not sure if this the view that muslims/paki who are living in USA also share.
War on Terror was the biggest mistake USA made and even americans realize that.

^ War on terror was and is necessary. America's mistake was not in entering ino it. America was too trusting of 'front line state' in the beginning which made Afghanistan war hell. If they had controlled Pakistan then as they started doing subsequently, it would have been over a long time ago. Musharaf outsmarted the Americans for a long time.
Dubya should have also first finished the war in Af-Pak before invading Iraq.
