who else used to support Musharraf?

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

It was there, but was mostly redirected to places outside of pakistan. Events that happened after Sept 11 (e.g. wars), helped recruiting new nut jobs, even in cities. Its a global phenomenon, so stop blaming Musharaf for all of this.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

there was no 9/11 in ns, bb era

there was no war in iraq or afganistan by american in ns or bb era

there was no bush in ns, bb era

its common sense why these things have sprung up, and blaming it on musharraf is silly,
oh yea he is resonsible for everything, including the flu you catch and ye economy boom is not because of him nor are telecom, media, bank booms, they just happened, ofcourse.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

I might post something like "I used to support Musharraf a lot but ever since ...(date)...when he removed his uniform I think he totally lost it, and I (somewhat) stopped/reduced support for him..."

So I hope he clings on to his uniform so I keep supporting him...

Kill me but khaki is where we come from and khaki is where we shall return, everything else is just a passing phase...WHY? maybe those that the khakis kickout each time know exactly why, so let's ask them?

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

He has taken off the khaki, you still support him ?

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

God bless President Musharraf for his stand against extremists, corrupt judges :jhanda:

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

So who is going to stand against the corrupt dictator and his corrupt chamcha supporters?

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

I supported him when he took over from NS and rescued the country. However since than his focus has not been Pakistan but his kursi and everything he has done is to save his kursi even to the extent that he imposed emergency and burtalised a whole nation just to save his kursi. The guy has to go and the quicker the better for Pakistan. he is a pathetic dictator.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

yeah...what can I say... :( will have to forgive him...
But he will still be on active reserve list for nearly 1 yr :D

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

:jhanda::jhanda::jhanda:

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

Yeah his "demise" as a leader started when he did not fulfill his promise to take off the uniform in '04...and then ofcourse, the events that happend in 2007...

and which head of state writes his autobiography in office?

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

*Is this have anything to do with Musharraf as President or firing corrupt judges ? *

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

He is a liar on many levels... Honestly should have seen this when he started the Kargil debacle.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

Yes, it does. He was president and COAS at the time. Only reason he was able to fire them was because he had the danda (being COAS) and not a civilian. His illegality as president would have come soon, if not for the bogus emergency rule on Nov 3.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

NS is equally blame for the kargil crisis. Thats where all the tesion started with MUsh and NS.

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

LOL doesnt it get old making multiple ID's to protect Mushy....
The man is a crook a corrupt and greedy little tyrant who's days are numbered.
I look forward to his trial for high treason

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

**If he is illegal, then why High Command People, All the judicary, Police, Defense Forces, Political Parties, Provincial Governments, International Organizations accept him as the leader & President. If you believe he is illegal please go out actually go to Islamabad and start crying in front of President palace.

Their are alot of people who support him and his every action in any way. He is a savior & the greatest leader we have got after Quaid-e-Azam.

God bless President Musharraf for allowing Singers to sing songs :jhanda:**

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

Musharraf’s approval rating slumps in Pakistan
Wed Aug 1, 2007 5:38pm IST Email | Print | Share| Single Page-] Text +]
ISLAMABAD, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf’s approval rating nosedived 20 points in four months to 34 percent by early July, a month when his political standing suffered more blows, a U.S. survey released on Wednesday found.

It was the first time General Musharraf, who came to power in a 1999 coup, had scored approval ratings below 50 percent since the Washington-based International Republican Institute (IRI) began polling in 2002.

With elections looming in the coming months, Musharraf has tried to shore up his position by reaching out to self-exiled former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, the leader of the largest opposition party.

The poll showed 32 percent of Pakistanis believed Bhutto was the best leader to handle the problems, followed by Musharraf with 27 percent, reversing the positions in the last poll conducted in February/March.

Poll: Bin Laden tops Musharraf in Pakistan
WASHINGTON (CNN) – Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf – a key U.S. ally – is less popular in his own country than al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, according to a poll of Pakistanis conducted last month by an anti-terrorism organization.

A hardline Islamic activist burns an American flag during anti-U.S. protests in Karachi, Pakistan, last month.

Additionally, nearly three-fourths of poll respondents said they oppose U.S. military action against al Qaeda and the Taliban inside Pakistan, according to results from the poll conducted by the independent polling organization Terror Free Tomorrow.

“We have conducted 23 polls all over the Muslim world, and this is the most disturbing one we have conducted,” said Ken Ballen, the group’s head. “Pakistan is the one Muslim nation that has nuclear weapons, and the people who want to use them against us – like the Taliban and al Qaeda – are more popular there than our allies like Musharraf.”

Re: who else used to support Musharraf?

More people support Benazir then do Musharaf… And even Osama is more popular the Musharaf!

And here is and article on Musharafs support in villages..

http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/12/05/asia/village.php
BADAR RANJHA, Pakistan: In a recent interview, President Pervez Musharraf challenged Western journalists to journey to the villages of Pakistan and gauge public opinion.

“The people who vote are these people on the streets in the villages,” Musharraf said, recommending a trip to Punjab, the province that holds 55 percent of the Pakistani population. “Please go around and ask them, what do they think?”

In random interviews in this farming village in northern Punjab, the vast majority of Pakistanis criticized Musharraf’s government, saying prices have soared during his tenure. Some said they supported Bhutto, but most expressed a deep cynicism about whether any leader would ever help Pakistan’s poor.

“God knows who will be the leader after Musharraf,” said Tariq Hussain, a shop owner in this destitute village of 2,000 families. “Whoever becomes leader is worse than their predecessor.”

Villagers said Musharraf’s government had supported the feudal landlords who rule rural Pakistan, where 5 percent of the population controls 66 percent of the land, one of the most lopsided ownership divisions in South Asia.

“Musharraf has announced he will end poverty,” Hussain said. “It seems he will end the poor.”

While city-dwellers complained that Musharraf’s dismissal of the Supreme Court, suspension of the Constitution and shuttering of independent media were illegal, villagers complained that they had driven up prices.
