This long dress trend finally finallyyyyy came three years ago …
i hope it isn’t over this year… nothing says lazy summer day better than a long maxi dress and flip flops
The classic maxi is fine but how many of you like this sorta scoop style which was in desi shalwar kamizes too…
i don’t think i could pull off this style at any occasion.. it sure looks trendy but in my opinion it sways from the all time classic..

OHHH MEEE! I can't wait to revert back to these as my staple. Throw them on and go, and the best part is they're so Islamically friendly :) Just waiting on this weather to cooperate.
Agree totally…my favorite thing about winter is the boots coats and scarves…despite the yuki weather style wise its good. Summer OTOH… Is always tricky.. Love these dresses and a little denim jacket or something on top.

for me having to wear a sweater/jacket/whatever on top just feels os…bulky..defeats the purpose of a dress. I just dont feel comfortable in em :hinna: but they are soooo lovely.

I am eyeing BCBG dresses as we speak, well every summer I go for colours that are IN for the season for the Maxi's, but this summer I am so going for tangerine/coral colours.....so pretty :)

girl let me tell you.. 5 or so of my friends didn’t ever try dresses or skirts but after i made them do it they just fell in love with em… you could may be find a t-shirt style short sleeve one that you don’t have to layer.. or just get a really sexy one just to lounge around the house…

I must admit that is courageous ... i am a total chicken and go for black / grey solid then accessorize with little color like jewelry or shoes or a summery cotton scarf in a bright color..

^I don't really like it....it is not a maxi for me....for me the maxi should always be flowy around my ankles....thought I do LOVE the strappy sandals/heels in that pic!

i feel better cose i thought i was wrong in hating them... i was at the mall and nearly every store had these scoop style dresses.. why?????
well it is a fad and will disappear soon.

Colours really compliment our desi skin tone! next time just try the one you wouldn't usually go for and then you never know....I remember few summers ago taupes/browns/blacks were really in for maxi's, they do look and elegant for dinner parties but I feel day time we can get away with a little summery colour :)

How many of the working ladies would wear maxis to work? I love them for weekends, but I can't picture myself and come to think of it, any of my colleagues wearing maxi dresses to work.

^ I would for casual Fridays......but not on regular days unless the style and print of the dress is a bit more formal/business-like....and I'd wear a blazer or bolero over it as well as heels.
