^^ I agree with Umair. To top it off Shoaib has been bowling really well since this rebuilding process started. He has taken the responsiblity of the senior bowler well. He bowled really well in Srilanka. He wasnt too good in the 2nd ODI of the Natwest series but in the nest match he was outstanding. Yes he did not have great figures in that match, I think he gave away 50 odd runs and went wicket less but he bowled his heart out that day. I think he was very unlucky in that match. He bowled well in the two test that he played in bowled very well in very hot conditions. Overall I think Shoaib & Sami comination should be more then enough for us backed up by Gul and Shabir.

Perhaps you missed the point Lahori Munda. There is no denying of the fact that Shoaib should (and will) spearhead the Pakistani attack. The question is that is he good enough to be a captain. I think differently but respect Umair's view.
Arey Nahi WitchDoctor Bhai I agreed to Umar regarding Shoaib's fitness issues. I agree with you that Shoaib is not captain material. If he stays away from trouble and guides Gil, Shabir and Sami properly he could be considered but as of right now I dont think Shoaib is responsible enough to be made captain. The other reason is his crazy statements in the media. Coming from a key players is bad enough but coming from the captain would make it even worse.
I think Younis Khan or Razzaq would make good captain.
Well, now Inzi has resurrected hsi career and he intends to continue till the next Worldcup, i think he can and he should take over the reins once Rashid retires....
Inzi is such a cool head and composed person...... had he not been such a terrible runner between the wickets, he could have been a wonderful captain.
The thing is that whether to take a run or not is a very critical (and very frequent) decision that every batsman has to make as long as he is one the crease. And one has to be clear about it, at least for most of the times. On the other hand, what will you say about the judgment of a player who does not know when to run and when not to run :) and will you make such a poor judge, a captain??
Anyway, like everybody else I am very happy that he has struck form and that too, when it was desperately needed. Let's hope that he shows good leadership abilities so that we know for sure who is going to lead the team after Rashid is gone.

Ok. Thanks for clarification :)
So we have a 50% agreement (Shoaib should not be the captain). For the rest 50% (then who should) we can continue the discussion :)
I'd say, let's wait and see how Inzi performs as a captain in the upcoming ODIs. Maybe our problem is automatically resolved.
