Hi All,
I am getting a White Saree with Silver Sequin work done with Silver Blouse for Valima of my cousin. Whomever I mentioned this to, made faces to my choice. saying, white on a 25 year old single petite would look kind of weird.
I wanted to ask all my friends here about their opinion. I personally love the combination and think it will look really formal. Please let me know of your thoughts.

i love silver on white....so elegant. ignore everyone else, i think it would look beautiful :)

I love white on Valima's - looks very elegant and that is one very pretty sari!!!

^Thanks all for wonderful feedbacks. I agree with Elegance of white on Valima too. Imagine guys wearing Black/Gray suits and me wearing white saree.

thats a stunning combo. white is totally in now and it won't look to widowish at all. your dressing it up with kaam. it will look very elegant and different. white saris and white outfits now in general are very in because they havn't been worn traditionally! i'm wearing a white lehnga with silver kaam so, i think you should go for it! :) go for it, everyone will be taking back their words back when they see how goreous and different you look! :) it will standout.

Hey that would look nice.. I went to a wedding..where the bride wore something similar at the valima..it looked nice..cos it was very nice and simple..just dont go too overboard with the kaam. and it should look fantastic. :)

Well Thanks all for suggestion. I asked my aunt to get it done for me as i am in States n wedding is Pak.
Here is a sample of the work I am looking into.
Let’s see how it will turn out. I just don’t want to be disappointed.
@Sana, Thanks yaar, agree with you on 100% about the different part. Not many ppl (besides oldies) think about White these days.
Jst hope the Photographer won’t forget that Im not the bride, Im just a cousin of the Groom. n starts taking my pics.
I am fully satisfied with my decision and Thanks again to all for their inputs.

White saree is really beautiful....My unmarried cousin wore white salwar kameez on my Baraat...it looked very different....Most of the girls wore colorful clothes....she looked very elegant..

Umm…I am really not a fan of white/simple saree for the bride for any of the main events as she’ll have ample opportunities to wear those at her after wedding functions. But, that is just me! It is your wedding and you can do anything that makes you happy.

I think white luks very elegant even i decided to wear white lehnga for my walima but my wuld b hubby didnt lyk da idea i was really crazy abt white........but then he made me realized dat there r many different colors which vil make me luk different n unique but still at da back of my mind i prefer white but lets c wat happens still no idea
