the premise on which you base your arguments is wrong. In a scenario you present, innocent talibaat and tulaba, everyone will distance themselves from the actions of their brother, however that was not the case here. These were not innocents, they were a menace and had taken law into their own hands. When the authorities tried to hold them responsible for their actions they became violent and had become a danger to a big population.

73 people died in the final attack on lal masjid according to official sources, 1000 as per yours. Now compare that to the number of Pakistani security forces people killed by like minded people all across Pakistan, the number is more than 73 in the last few days.

Any so called moral victory for the militants would have been a license to commit similar un-lawful activities across the nation. Islamabad is Pakistan's Capital, supposedly a place where the government should be strongest, but these people were bold enough to challange the government's authority. They would have been much more reckless in other remote areas of Pakistan where security and law enforcement is not as strong as in Islamabad.

We all mourn the death of people in the lal masjid incident, but we should not lose sight of the fact that they started it. Their initial crime may not have been so big, but the danger they prfessed would not be tolerated by any government, even a hypothetical purely Islamic government.

All that was needed was for these people to back down, government had to show its authority, it was necessary, but they became violent. They refused to negotiate and they fired weapons.

All the claims of 14 rifles become a joke when you guys present so called un-disputable proofs of the government atrocities. Why was WP used if it was just a matter of 14 rifles?

who followed a person who was in communication with al qaeda, who had weapons in his compound, who lied constantly and consistently, who wanted to get a free pass for himself and his terrorist buddies?

Not withstanding that it's one of the conspiracy theories we have been expecting to see for some time, does it matter what weaponry was used? White Phosphorous? Did they pick up an old printout of a newspaper from Baghdad and reprinted the whole thing changing the location to Lal Masjid? I wish they had used white phosphorous and these fker's deaths were a little more painful than a few bullets to their chests.
