Which Shan masala(s) do you like the best? Plz share recipes.

None , to be honest .. I feel the chemicals in all these masala’s totally kill the nutritional value of the food :hinna:

But in emergency use , I would say, achar masala and korma masala .. these two can be used in really small quantities to get the required taste …

I really like their shahi haleem packet the one with all the lentils!

yes i never use them in Pakistan here i just tried to use but a very little. I have found Haleem and Nihari masala best ones.

I'm a guy but I cook sometimes, especially when I'm away from my family and I used Shan before , I can say that both Karahi and Peshawri Karahi mixes are good .

karhayi fry gosht and achar gosht masala i dont use their other masala packs

Omg! I'm so addicted to these Shan masalas! My cabinet is full of em. I have a lotta diff ones and seems like my food turns out very blah if I don't add Shan masala to my daily cooking :/ what to do? What to do? Maybe I'm a bad cook :(

Is it really so bad that you wouldn’t use Shan masalas every day? Are you concerned about MSG?
What about Lazeeza?

Star, I wouldnt use these masala's in my day to day cooking ever ... its not just MSG , but generally the quality of the masala's as well .. its full of chemicals .. the lesser of it that goes into our food , the better it is for us ..

I have personally experienced this and a few friends as well who said that everyday use can lead to constant digestion issues .. my husband had that issue, i stopped using packet masala's and alhumdullillah he is doing alot better ... so now i just use them only for occasions to bring a different taste .. other wise I mostly use fresh Javetri, nutmeg for taste and aroma

i love shan haleem mix...
i also put its masala in regular daal n it tastes yum....

i love shan bbq tikka masala too....

I try to use my own masala whenever I can so I dont have to rely on Shan, but I cant make my own biryani. So I love using Shan Sindhi Biryani masala. I love the taste of it!

Shan Sindhi Biryani, Shan Bombay Biryani, Qorma Masala (which I use only 1 table spoon) & rest my own spices, Shan Chicken Karhai, Shan Nihari..........I think, I like shan Masalas.......but i dont rely on them............its not like, without of them I cant make a dish.........I certainly do :@:

Karahi/fry gohst, fish, tandoori. I use one packet for at least 10 dishes. You should always use this to enhance your dish and not completely cook with 1 packet per dish. It does gve you stomaches

i use the biriyani ones a lot,and the achar gosht, however if anyone knows the proper masala to use for achar gosht i would happily drop buying that

The concern about chemicals is very understandable. But how can we make cooking quick and easy nowadays when women have taken many responsibilities outside the kitchen? We do have to rely on packet masalas and Shan is the best.

I like their Chapli kabab and Chholey masala. Has anyone used Laziza?

i dont use shan masala or any brand name masalas in my regular s
cooking...the only dishes i use shan masala are biryani, nihari, haleem. rest i use basic salt, red pepper, haldi, garam masala, zeera, cinamonsticks, clove, blk ilaichi as needed. i have many responsibilities outside kitchen,home, baby, studying, and work. alhamdululah.
