anyway…when you ladies are driving somewhere with your husband and your MIL, and your husband is driving, which seat do you usually take? Do you sit in the front, and MIL sits in the back, or do you sit in the back and MIL sits in the front?
Guys, which would you prefer? That your wife sits in the back so your mom can sit up front, or would you want your wife to sit in the front and your mom can sit in the back?

We Amish people ride horses , and everyone have their own horse . So for us its really not an issue .

Your husband and his amma will sit in the front like nawabs. And you should be outdoors…pushing the vehicle to get it to move. Know your place, woman.

I used to offer the front seat to MIL, but she usually insists on taking the back. Especially if both MIL and FIL are there, they prefer to sit together. :D

I don't have any hang-ups with sitting in the back seat. You can always mix it up too.

My MIL *has * to sit up front, she needs the extra leg room, it’s a non issue with me…and really, if we’re all going out as a family, we have to take 2 cars anyway, all 3 kids are still in booster seats

I don't care and neither does he.
But his mom always goes straight to the back seat. If his dad is with us...sometimes he'll sit in the front...sometimes in the back.

MIL sits in the front if she goes anywhere with us. FIL sits in the front if he is also there, and MIL and I sit in the back. It has even happened that we sometimes would be going back home from work and if we saw MIL or FIL walking, I would get out of the front seat and let them sit in the front.
For me it is not a big issue, kya farq parta hai who sits in the front or back, we all are headed to the same destination. But I do know of some women who have fights abt MIL sitting in the front seat.

we in the east [Indo Pak] give the passenger seat to the older male/female. wife has to sit in the back. it's a question of shyness...buzurgoN kii maujoodgii meN miyaaN biwi qareeb qareeb nahiiN baiThte...aisii hamaarii tahzeeb hai. :)

Isn’t that the same thing? 
In any case, when the 3 of us go out, hubby drives, MIL sits up front and I sit in the back. I have no issues with it.
Unless if it were one of hte BILs alnog too, then he sits in front and MIL and I sit in the back. just thought I’d cover all the bases.

my bhabi always pushes my mum she just drag her to front seat n says no u r elder u have 2 sit literally they both r fighting n my mum nhi muhe apne bahu betay ko sath bheta dehk kr khushi hoti hai so i always saw this when i got married MIL came 2 visit us dubai i asked her she said no its ur seat i said ok i didimt insist her after that honestly i never asked her :) n yes if FIL or BIL r wth us i automatically go back wthout asking :)

Ditto here. My MIL always insists on sitting at the back. If my FIL is there, he would sit at the front once in a while but then the next time would always want me to sit in the front. :)
