Faith, by its nature defies rationality. If we could see God, His powers and could talk to Him, then believing in him would not be ‘faith’ anymore. It would be a rational decision to believe in God.
Now, if from rationale and logic, you cannot prove existence of such a being, then either you irrationally decide to have ‘faith’ or you don’t. Most of us were born in religious families and hence we cannot see a lot of irrational things religion asks us to believe in (angels, hell, heaven, life after death, etc.). From an ‘outsider’ perspective, those seem more like fairy tales than serious business.
