if you get them booked now, they will charge the rates they told..and they will increase the rates during the ‘FISHING’ (wedding season..i.e. september onwards.. i would really suggest you to make you decision soon and ask your sister to get the booking done.. my sister had to pay 2000rs extra cuz she was too lazy to get the appointment done at allenora’s in time last year..and i saved money as i got my booking done almost 6 months earlier.. and same goes for the wedding halls, dresses, etc.. they will rip $$ off you after september everywhere as they all know ’ murghi phansi hui hai..’

and remember, in the end, it is not only the makeup that would determine your final look.. it is the shade of the dress (even reds come in many shades) , your jewellery,etc that mattter too.. credit/blame goes to all the things collectively ! plus the camera being used for the pics and the lighting of the hall !!

I am sooo confusedddd. Haan thek hai isi month tak main sister se kehti hun ke booking done kar le, ab phir yeh decision use hi lena hoga. Ok one last time. My dress is red, so madeeha ya Alle nora kis ke paas jayun? Price ke hisaab se I guess Alle Nora would cost more, so end result bhi zyada acha hona chahiye. right?
Aap to Alle Nora se tayar hui thii. Did you find them efficient? Hairstylist kesi lagi? and dupatta setting kesi karte hain yeh? Is it all in all good. Did u have a photo-session at Alle Nora? If yes, tell me more about that.

yehi to masla hai, they are rude coz they know they are really good and customer depend on them. Warma suchi baat hai ke mujhe madeehas bohat friendly lage.-

On my walima I wore magenta and navy blue, so really dark and bright colours, and she did an amazing job with the make up!

I am grateful to everyone who shares personal experiences with me. Madeehas ki main ne bohat tarefeef suni hai aur Alle Nora ki bhi. Choice waqehi aasan nahin. But I guess agar Madeeha ya Annie (Alle Nora) khud tayar kare to result most of the time bohat ache hote hain. As far as I know Madeeha discuss each and everything with the bride prior to wedding day which I really like. Whereas Annie dont even tell you what she is going to do. And does not even listen to you while doing the makeup. Lekin is ke bawajuud logon ka kehna hai ke Annie zabardast tayar karti hai. Aur yaar mera aik hi yeh grand function hai and I cant take any risks. Mujhe sakht afsoos hoga agar Madeehas gayi and they make a pastry of me (yahan par kisi ne likha thaa ke madeeha se jo koi tayar hua, was looking like a pastry). So cant really afford that. Acha Madeehas ki pre bridal service, bridal package main include hoti hai aur do you have to spend extra money on that?

allenora offers face polishing with eyebrows+upperlip threading which is included in pre-bridal services.. but rest i.e. facials,pedi- and manicures ,etc you have to get them done yourself from anywhere you like..i would suggest to go to madeeha's.. since she discusses everything and lessens the confusion and fears of 'what would i look like after the make-up' , etc .. allenora pe tau mujay saara waqt tension hee thee.. hairstyle was OKAY.. i wanted centre partition wala style and the asistants there forced me not to get that.. makeup bhi acha hee tha.. photo shoot may acha aa gya..and iin rest of pics,it was a bit pastry-like ..just a bit !

Acha yeh batayen kya madeeha se pehle appointment leni hoti hai to discuss about your hairstyle and makeup ya wo khud se kehte hain aik din pehle ayen aur madeeha se discuss kar leen. Aur kya yeh aisi service hai jo wo sab customers ko offer karte hain, ya sirf aap ke khud se puchne par advise karte hain?
Annie ka to mujhe darr beth gaya hai, and agar wo meri koi baat sunnegi nahin aur apne hisaab se sab karegi to mujhe to end tak khauff betha rahega. But is ke bawajuud itne logon ka kehna hai ke she does it very well. So chance liya jaye ya nahin? lollll. Itni bari confusion hai yeh meri, mujhe to kuch samajh mai nahin aata, madeeha se koi tayar hua nahin ab tak, aur Annie ne meri cousin ko tayar kia thaa, jo bohat ahci lag rahi thii aur un ka photo shoot bhi A one thaa.
Madeehas ke photosession ka bhi mujhe nahin pata. I like the service which Madeeha offers, but agra Annie nahin bhi puchti aur result A one hai, to kya phir use done kia jaye?
Yaar mera sab se bara masla hai, ke decision lene se pehle mujhe exact pata ho ke result kya hoga, lollll
ANd that is not possible na. Chalen aur kaun kaum khud madeeha se tayar hua hai aur kesa experience raha? Ya Annie ke saath kesa experience raha?

Saima, Mairi shadi next yr March 08 mai hai Lahore mai...please tum mujhe zaroor batana where to go for makeup...coz tumhari shadi is hee saal hogi...i want to know ur suggestion ke allenora ke paas jana chahiyeh ya madeehas...ok...wish u all the best!! :))

i got married in September 2005. i got my make over done by Madeehas. I also live abroad and could not go to her for any appointments/discussions. My sister did the booking. At that time she charged me 13000 Rs for make up and 8000 Rs for solo shoot. I was so scared on my wedding because i m very skinny and was just worried how would i look like. My dress was maroon with olive green borders. They did an amazing job. The assistants who were doing my make up asked me what kind of look do i want. i asked them that i leave everything upon them and the results were fantastic. i was not believing that was me.
They made my eyes golden and olive green and gave a blend of maroon and golden lipstick which was giving me a traditional bridal and modern look. i was so nervous, when madeeha came for the final touches, she told me why i was so tense as long as i m looking so gorgeous and beautiful, i should be happy.
i was so happy with the end result.

I will definetely give you my advice for your wedding. Still I cant choose between madeehas and Alle Nora.
Koi Alle Nora kehta hai to koi Madeeha. Choice is so tough, but dekhen yeh uunt kis karwat bethta hai:) Ab main do jaga to ja nahin sakti, so kisi aik parlour ka intikhaab jald karna hoga, Lets c, but in any case I will keep you updated.

Yes i had my solo shoot done by Madeehas. It is done by Deevas. The photographs were amazing. I think there were 20 large sized photos arranged in a black album. The background stuff was also good. i wish i could sent u the pics but my album is with my parents in Pakistan. At that time they charged my 8,000 Rs. But i believe it was worth spending because the end result you get is really nice.

Thanks Smile27 for sharing your personal experience with me. Madeehas ki ab itni tareef sun li hai ke day by day mere liye decision lena mushkil ho raha hai. I guess I will ask my sister to visit both and to take the final decision aur bas phir duwa hi karungi ke i wont regret my decision:)
Jab main shadi ke liye ayungi tab to bohat late ho jayega booking ke liye, so I have to finalized each and everything by the end of this month. Yeh na ho phir shadiyun ka season start ho jaye aur un ke paas booking dates available na hun.
Aap ne jab madeeha se makeup karaya thaa to kya pre bridal service (threading eyebrows) us package main included thaa ya is ke liye extra charges diye thee?
I would be glad if you could give an update on that.

i love new look i got my makeup there and have seen a few other cousins get it from there and they made everyone look gorgeous and not one person looked too white and their eye makeup was spectacular...not sure of prices but whatever it is...its worth it!

New look se abhi latest koi tayar nahi hua, Once my cousin got her make done at new look and she was looking really good. But i have no idea about their photosession. For me the choice is more or less between madeeha and Alle Nora, aur zyada tendency Alle nora ki taraf hai:)

Saima, i think Allenora is good...Madeeha's i think ziada white kardetey hain.....mairi friend ki cousin wahan se tayyar hoi thee...aur us ka complexion sawla tha aur un houn ne us ke white foundation laga dia.....thtz wht im scared of...ke face white na kardein...pictures bhi itni weird aatien hain...phir..i think Allenora is good...also...wht abt your bridal dress? Are you getting it made by a designer?

Saima..i think it depends what you are going for...do you want the white-face-loud color-on eyes look?...or the more normal looking one...personally..i dont like it when people match their dresses with their makeup..It should NEVER match..thats a big fashion no-no..a bride should look fresh..and beautiful...not colorful! :-) (my opinion) when you are making consultation phone calls...do talk to Arsh at Newlook..she is soooo friendly..i absolutely loved her..

Saima gee.. well i had heard that for pre wedding services (like facial, eye brows), you should alwasy go to your regular parlour to get a personalized service. i didnt take the complete package from Madeehas. Went only for the bridal make over. For mehndi, facial, eye brows, waxing, mani-pedi cure i went to the parlour which i had been going since long. When i got married, Madeehas complete package was almost Rs 30,000 excluding Henna. But i chose Rs 13k or 12 k only for the make over.
