We use "the" for specific things...."i m eating pizza" is a general statement....but if u say that where u got the pizza from n how may slices u have....then it's more specific n u then u will use "the"

The first..BEACAUSE…if you say THE pizza- you might talking about a pizza from an ancient musuem or sumthing…but a pizza…would just be general:D…
