guys,
I was wondering what is your opinion. This summer I will get one of the two channels. I have never watched GEo, but I have watched ary and find ary has too many booring ladies dramas which I hate. Is Geo better ?
I am looking for something, that has more news, documentaries, old pak movies, reality shows, comedy, talk shows, travel shows of pak.
I don’t want no stinken sad dramas and I want channel that is family oriented and clean. I don’t want to watch mujra on tv with my family.

there is no channel according to your requirments.but i think geo sucks .they are simply jews's agents.they want to confuse people about everything.they wants to bury our every positive feeling about our nation ,culture and religion.they are slowly poisoning the minds of our youth.

God! I hate stupid idiots! Who think everyone is a Jewish conspiracy! Just because a channel is trying improve the image of Pakistan around the world does not mean its a Jewish agent!
Before alleging someone of wrong doing, how about a little proof?
By the way coming back to the topic! Geo is ALOT better than ARY, but both channels are way better than the crap they show on Prime!

yikes, calm down grapefruit. They are not so bad. But they do go overboard with their "indian pooja". Geo people literally kiss the ground through which a indian celebrity has walked. Also Geo people apparently has successfully hacked into the brain of zee tv and is now in the process of shoving down hindian "saas bahu" ishtyle dramas down our throat like jo baat ghar main hai and the greatest drama of all time safaid posh. But production wise, no one comes close to geo. You can really tell that they spend lot of money in their programs. Plus programs like "yeh cheez," "katakat" "ulta seedha" "george ka pakistan" are a treat to watch.

what do you know about jews and their wills about us ‘so called muslims’.have you read ‘protocols’.you know about greater isreal plans.sorry to say ,all of us always think about our future but as a nation we are so carefree.if you are so die hard fan of geo then you should also watch the effect of them carefully and seriously.

Ive been following the two channels ever since they started in Pakistan, and ARY looked more promising and had more potential, but GEO certainly took off, with brilliant marketing, journalism, and direction. As for the similarity with Indian stuff, they are smart, they did that as they know what the people of Pakistan like. These boring Zee-TV like dramas, as much as they suck, alot of people in Pakistan love them. But then again, they are also giving sufficient coverage to everything else, including local news, documentaries, music and all. As for the Jew conversion thingie, thats all non sense.

I know a lot of housewifes in pak watch these star tv dramas and crap. But is that the only demographic that enjoys watching these dramas. How about the youth of pakistan. Do they watch these crappy dramas too.

Yeah, but those dramas are not the only thing GEO shows, they have programs for the youth too, smart programming, they have stuff for everyone. The elderly (who used to be so keen on watching PTV's khabarnama) love the news broadcast that Geo provides.

Graprefruit, your conspiracy theory makes no sense! This is even more absurd than the pathetic theory that Jews were behing the 9/11 attacks.
Just because a channel is trying to intoduce the appropriate and liberal image of Pakistan (which is the majority of Pakistanis want) you accuse a conspiracy behind it. Why do all the fundamentalists in Pakistan believe that America and Isreal are behing everything?
Where were the Muslims when their Muslim brothers were dying in Kosovo? Who went to stop the genocide? The American. The bitter truth is that Muslims these days love to whine as its easy to blame someone else for everything and just remember our glorious past.
If Geo is a Jewish channel. I congratulate then Jewish on their effort. To brainwash Pakistanis. What can we do about it. Come to a forum and whine. Thats all we are good for.
Meanwhile countries like India and Isreal can commit any attrocities and get away with it and why is that? because they have strong lobbies...
These fundamental views will take Pakistan to the dark ages! Thank God, that the majority of the Pakistanis are sensible and dont bring these fundoos into power!

ary r on cloud 9 @ the mo' i don't think they have any stiff competition from any of the other channela to fret over. if only cricket and concerts become regulars on the network not once in a blue moon. overall, ary has sound enterainment program to cater for the tastes' of all types of audiances'

Geo is more innovative. ARY still hangs onto a lot of traditional formats. Both have crazy dramas...although I find GEO dramas better...again, because they're more innovative.
Experimentation is good.
