once again, I will point out the totally erroneous understanding you seem to have:
it is NOT true that muslims are portrayed as criminals either in the movies or in press, anymore than hindus and christians are. You should also know that a large number of bollywood high and mighty have been and are muslims. Some of the most effective films that solidly portrayed the worldwide image problems are from bollywood. So it is nothing less than a despicable lie to say Indian films always portray muslims as villains.
you have changed your statement from "muslims are not allowed in army" to "muslims are a low number". How do you reconcile the two statements? You cannot.
Christians and Brahmins in the army and government are very low as well - and the reason that people say it is that way is because they are a passive community and not too interested. There could be similar reasons or reasons other than discrimination that may cause a low number - I don't know. How do you conclude that it is due to discrimination?
On poverty rates - what is your source for the stats you quote?

I never said muslims are not allowed to join the army. Muslims in the army are almost invisible and look up the stats your self. Most of India isn't progressing at all just look at the maoist naxalites begging for equality and no oppression from the government. Muslims are not a passive community and have always wished better for the state and how would I know they are being discriminated? Maybe cuz more than half of my family is still living in India.
Pakistan does not have politcal parties that call for persecution of minorities like BJP and Shiv Sena. Till this date there are so many attacks on minorities. A few of them Babri Masjid massacare, Gujrat Genocide, Killings and rape of chrisians in orissa, massacare of sikhs etc.

I am afraid that Malaysia has wrongly but successfully projected its image as a "Progressive Muslim State" by means of a advertising/propaganda machinery meant for promoting tourism.
In reality it is anything but a PMS.

And I really don't understand the logic behind so-called Muslim countries. Maldives with a population of 350,000 has a 100 % majority of Sunni Muslims. So it is a Muslim country and other Muslim countries will deal favourably with it , whilst India which represents approx 150,000,000 Muslims is to be treated as Kufr, and interests of these 150,000,000 Muslims ignored.
