Fine. In all serious, I would like to be close to my parents...I don't even want to move to a different state. If I'm not gonna take care of them, who will? I don't have any brothers and I want to make sure I give them whatever they want whenever they want iA. My mom might still be able to handle it but I don't think my dad could...if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't mind moving
Re: Where you live
It's important. You don't want to leave your country, then find a guy who is based out of that country and has grown up there. Not some guy who is living in another country, and you never know when his family is going to have a fit and make YOU move.
where do you live in Ireland ? Sligo or Mayo - where you don’t find desi stuff
Go to dublin - its full of desis or atleast it was , when i was there !
you just hanging around wrong places lass
go to dublin 8 , Blanchardstown or lucan - you will find many !

I live in the so-called stab city, dude. ![]()
There are some desi families here (mostly doctors) but even thats useless coz there ain’t any girls of my age. I got called a baaji the last time I went to someone’s house ![]()
I’ve been to dublin and I hate it! Sooooooooo crowded ughh.. i feel claustrophobic every time I go there… Plus its way too expensive for me to live there…
so yeah… i’m just gonna sit here and whine like girls do…
Re: Where you live
lol there is nothing wrong in being called a baji :)
It matters very much.
I find it unfair that the girl is always expected to uproot herself and move to the guys' city/country but I do respect girls who do that.....its not easy to leave your family and friends behind and live intotally different surroundings.
totally unfair!
one of my friends had a love-marriage and her fiance was in pakistan. even her dad tried to talk her out of it - but she was so blindly in love with him at that time. her fiance refused to move to uk saying nowhere in islam is there proof that a husband has moved to his wife's location. after marriage, she moved to pakistan for him, and hates her life there now. she's always bored, always depressed, hates having to wait for her husband to take her out due to backward culture, misses her family like crazy and misses uk like crazy.
i like pakistan for hols but i too would go crazy if i had to live there permantely as life is too different there compared with uk.
she herself says she was blind in love and too young at that time that she never ever thought about his salary or where they would live after marriage etc - and that she wished she had.
..............Or is it just an act and you are messing with everyone, and one day you will drop the lame comments, teddys and the gay custom titles and laugh at everyone who thought you were utterly lame?
It's teddy, not teddys. (Aish style) ;)
Now does this mean I messed with you or you messed here for no reason?

Re: Where you live
Location is pretty important imo! I don't wanna be raising kids in some ghetto jungle...desi familes I could care less for...but the area needs to have a masjid close by and career prospects are very important...there's a reason we went to school all those yrs! But after getting married, if he has to move to some weird place like idaho...then I wouldn't say no i'm not coming lol..I guess we would just have to make it work...
Re: Where you live
I say if you its a temporary set back and you have to move to some remote town like chalk river for a couple of years then it is understandable. People think living in small towns is a pain but these plances are very close knit communities and teach you a lot about community values. Ask aahmed, he lives in a small town and perfectly happy with his life. In the end it does not matter if you have to move to a small town for a little while or not, what matter is that how you and your SO cope with the situation and how you raise your kids in that environment.
Sehrysh will be more than happy to conduct those classes… right sehrysh ![]()
