I’d pick the second one as well. Probably my worst habit is that I overthink most issues and look not just at short-term, but also long-term implications. I think about having kids and raising them to be good Muslims who have a connection to their Pakistani roots. Living in a remote location like Dog River or Wyoming would make this more challenging (though not impossible).

And from my perspective, living in as multiculturally diverse community as the one I come from, where majids, friends, grocers are so accessible - it seems difficult to go literally cold turkey to a place that had none of it (and not just a diminished amount).
