Why are we getting caught unprepared? Because the preparedness (if any) is towards saving the ministers, governors, president... who cares about police? FC? mosques? imam-bargahs?

Need expert to comat terrorism, Rehman Malik can talk but his past record suggest that he cannot deliver... Chnage the team leader, get the one who have delivered in past, somebody like Naseer Ullah Khan baber, who knows how and where to hit the terrorists...

None of the Islamic Party ever won some good number of seats during elections in Pakistan
Most people in Pakistan are found of telling jokes about Mullahs & Co.
Majority do not pray five times a day and some go to mosques on fridays and some only eid days.
Majority of Pakistanies are born muslims and they live according to the tradition of their respetive area.
Pakistanies generally known as fun-loving people, with great sense of humour, fond of theater, dramas, serials, tv shows, ( no interest in cinema as the movies lack quality to attract viewers).
One can see, latest fashion amoung the masses of young and old population.
and list goes on... and still people say that Pakistanies support talibanism or religious extremism.. i think the one who says this should pay some visits to Pakistan...and get its record corrected...

That was right decision then... it was in 90s when Pakistan was suffering from scettrian violance, and the traning used to be in troubled Afghanistan, where the majority land was controlled by the war-lords, where the govt of Afghanistan was talking against Pakistan... creating Taliban at that time was one of the best acheivements of BB.
But after the military ruler spoiled the hard of Naseer Ullah baber and other.. either he was in capable to control them or he delibertly used them as a threat to west to and himself as the only person who can defeat them just to stay in power... thats where things went wrong...
Now I don't know much about Naseer Ullah Khan Baber, that if he is available or not.. but i do believe there are plenty others who can do the task in much more better way then this Clown called Rehman Malik.
They won't be able to strtike, Pakistan intelligence is too good............

Yes it was an efficient job for a change and gave the security forces something to celebrate about which they don't often do.
The intelligence agencies are also very efficient.

True to an extent, it may have to do with people roaming around with arms/weapons freely in many parts of the country unchecked.

Pakistanis will keep getting caught as long as the jehadi producing factories are operational in parts of the country and as long as their is support for these jehadees in segments of the Pakistani society.
Being on the defensive against terrorists is useless. One can not protect every place all the time. The only option is to take the war to them, kill them before they can strike you, eliminate their support, their money source, their moral support. As long as jehadi emirates exist in Waziristan, Darra Adam Khel, FATA, Swat, Souther Punjab and other parts of the country, Pakistanis will continue to pay the price.

whenever a terrorist act occurs and pakistan is associated with it, the normal reaction is "oh, a majority of Pakistanis are peaceloving moderates, so let's not blame the whole country".
This is absolutely true and that helps to defend the honor of the population and the country.
But it does not do anything to prevent recurrence.
I think people need to change the question to "even though it is a minority, why are there so many who take to violence whether it be in the name of Islam or politics or a combination".
The gun culture is not anything to be proud about. It is no sign of masculinity or ethnic pride. Yet I've seen even otherwise normal Pakistanis talk about certain parts of the country with pride about machine guns being made and available with no limits. Guns, ammo, grenades etc must be banned.

When ever terrorist attack take place anywhere in world, every blames Pakistan for it.. and that every one is western & Indian media.. infact Indian media go few steps ahead and release the training footage....
Now, the simple question is... The War was against the taliban in Afghanistan, American and their NATO allied had failed all together to bring them down, today the ground reality is that these talibans are controlling the situation...
so for some reason Everyone is blaming Pakistan for their failure... Is ISI and Pakistan that strong that it can bring these Super Powers ( equipped with all kind of latest war-machine and communication gadgets) to their knees?
Why these drones are not able to trace Baitullah Mehsood and his allies, all this drones have done so far is to kill children and women???

Question is, India Produces G2 rifles ( i guess) and Pakistan have its G3 ( i guess and i'll appreciate if someone corrects it), and these terrorists have UZI guns, AK-47 and all weapons made from UAE, Israel, and Russia..
why don't anyone raise fingers to the arm-producing factories, arm-dealers??? and blame these countries for not being able to control their arm industry and providing the arms to these terrorists..
I am sure none of these terrorist owns any arm factory in said countries!!!

^^^^ And now we are going to fight this war for them at a bargain price fo $ 9 per person per year..........what more can a nation do for world peace. US should be thankful to us for its singular super power status. Europe should be thankfull to us for it was our war against USSR that then allowed the dream of EU to become a reality. China should be thankfull to us for it no longer fears USSR. But after all that and after all the deception of 90s from the US we are again ready to fight a war that no doubt is ours now but we didnt start it at $9 ................
