Muslims in amerika don’t have much room to manouver at all, the government is so anti islam regarding its politics that the muslims will jump on any bandwagon that favours them even in slight terms.

and how much wiggle room do they have in Pakistan? mosques get bombed, women get sentenced for being victims, land gets grabbed unless you’re in uniform.

or in Saudi Arabia? go ahead and pick some country.

Actually, being Muslim has nothing to do with the amount of wiggle room one has in either SA or Pakistan. One’s Muslimness is a guarantee for nothing, nor is it neccessarily the cause of any distress.

In Amrika thogh, it’s all about being Muslim.

where is the leader who can guide muslim moderates ?

I understand and accept that there are many moderates among British Muslims, but I want to know why Britain gets so pitifully little to show for their moderation.

When a nation, a race, a political movement, a group of workers, the followers of a religion have legitimate grievances, there generally arises amongst them a champion who can command respect for his advocacy of peace, his willingness to fight without weapons and to win by moral authority. There may be many such grievances for Muslims in Britain, and in the West, but we are still waiting for the Gandhi or the Martin Luther King to give them the right voice
