Several projects were completed in non-mqm dominated areas - such as first ever road from Mubarak Village to RCD Highway, roads in the rural areas of Malir and check dams on Malir river, Water line to Baba Bhit and Kemari for the first time, roads and water/severage lines in Azam Basti and Model colony which are non-MQM areas. Not to mention that the fly over and main roads in all parts of the city are for the welfare of all citizens of Karachi. You need to take off your bias glasses!

Which roads of Malir , you are referring to? What about Lyari Karachi and Qasimabad Hyderabad. I just wanted to know about projects started and priority given to Sindhi majority areas by MQM Nazims. Mubarak village to RCD highway was started in 2009 during PPP government.
Who started planning for dam on river malir. It was Naimat ullah Khan.

Again off track reply. I simply ask you whether these ugly structures have solved the heavy traffic jams or not? Give me yes or no. What is so sarcastic about it? *I would say he has defaced Karachi *(once most clean and organized city) in his tenure and should be condemned rather than praising him on fake pretenses.
I would disagree with that, if trying to solve traffic issues by building bridges/under-passes is 'defacing' then all cities in US are defaced.

I believe Malir and Lyari were removed from Karachi's admin and made independent some time ago, probably done in one of Benazir's terms in 90s.

Comparing Americas' intelligent structures with ugly, cheap, out of degrees, sharp curvatures and alignment underpasses and overpasses of Karachi which were built under this goon # 2 world class mayor. I am surprised at such comaprison. A part from state of art technology, American planners think atleast 100 years ahead when they take such projects keeping in view future traffic patterns, ecology, asthetics, proper curvatures, gradients breadth and design of of such structures. Do you know how old is Goden Gate Bridge? It is considered as one of the wonder of the world. Canada, America and Western Europe are now dominated by intelligent structures using composite materials and computers which collects data automatically when traffic passes over these structures. Red flags are immediately transmitted from remote areas where these structures exist 100's of miles away to control rooms which I think you don't know that. Google what I am talking about.

I wonder with such a technology and intelligence why do I had to spend hours which stuck on 405 freeway in Washington or 5 freeway in Orange County California and now on 401 freeway in Toronto :(. I’ll forward your post to all the drivers on these freeways so that they know they are driving on these 'technologically advance, intelligent structures ’ so they should not jam the traffic - oh and that they should be tankful to their ‘mayor’ for this.

I am not sure which world are you talking about but world where I live in, has jams without any accidents etc too just because of stupidity of some drivers or because of volume of traffic.

I am talking about the world you live in, only being realistic. Traffic Jams are mostly stupdity of the drunk drivers, nothing to do with the design of structues. If the traffic patterns change so is the expansion of roads you normally see when these were planned may be 50 or 100 years ago. (In recent past QEW in Tornoto was added more lanes)
You have tons of alternatives if you don't like highways.

What is the logic for ignoring Malir & Lyari Areas (by not giving their due share in development projects) during MQMs Nazims tenure? What is the logic for supporting encroachment in public parks and contention by Mustafa Kamal that he would remove his party’s encroachments when the mosques were dismantled.

Lets consider this goon's achievements as nil, show me "intelligent" structures by PPP leaders, mayors, governors, ministers around the country, by PML-N? by ANP? The structure look ugly to you, I don't think the purpose of the structure was to "beautify" the city, rather to solve traffic problems. It is responsible for EVERY government to maintain the purpose of such developments, if a government decides to render useless such useful bridges then by no means such development will bear any fruit. It is responsibility of every successful government to ensure that there are no encroachments at entrance/exit of a bridge/underpass otherwise crowding will only ensure traffic jams.
