You think religion is headed
What’s the future of it
Re: where do
Its not going anywhere. Basically new beliefs are being introduced in the name of disbelief
Re: where do
Not believing is not a new idea.
Re: where do
If we accept that Europe post industrial revolution is the trend setter, we can get a good idea.
Re: where do
^ believing not but pretending to believe to make other disbelieve.
example of new idea is people can have personalized interpretation of religion means interpret as what suites you.
anyway there is no point of competition between religion and science.

Religion such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity will continue to play small part in peoples personal lives.
Ideologies like Islam will establish itself into a state then into a dominant power as previously in history and will unite the muslim world regardless if the secular fundamentalists like it or not!

Most of the world will eventually become secular and reason will prevail. Religious people will stick to their worship in private, but will acknowledge humanism as the guiding principle for humanity.
Religious fanatics will be pushed to the fringe and will either be preaching from behind bars, or be mocked as demented fools.
Muslims will follow the path of Europe and we will see Islam evolve to encompass modern ideas and sensibilities, restrictions on women will be removed, shallow interpretations will be replaced with nuance, and people will realize that Islam is best practiced in private, and not through govt. Secularism once again, will replace stupidity and dogma.

Buddhism isnt really a religion. Its more of a philosophy. One could be muslim, christian or jewish and be buddhist at the same time. There are no conflicting beliefs as far as im aware. They are mutually exclusive
Re: where do
for religions to flourish and dominate society, it takes uniformity in the society in belief. the world is fast turning into a pluralistic one, where ideas and thoughts are exchanged easily. not conducive for religious dogma of the orthodox to be imposed on others who arent up to it.
Re: where do
isn't it contradiction that some people at one hand look at animals to testify things as natural or unnatural but on the other hand they are wannabe biggest proponents of humanity?
Can we have this conversation in English please?

pluralism is flawed concept the strongest group with the political power and money enforce and make laws in its groups favour at expense of others. You will also find the most powerful group able to manipulate the media to its agenda weaker groups will feel the discrimination and if they don't fit the strongest groups agenda will be vilified, bullied into submission and attacked i.e muslims, blacks, latinos other minorities.

read it carefully. I said one can be Muslim OR Jewish OR Christian and be Buddhist at the same time. As in you could be any of the three aforementioned and be Buddhist at the same time. I didnt say you can be Muslim AND Christian or Muslim AND jewish at the same time
Re: where do
^ I think Hinduism itself at its core is also a way of life. Over centuries it has coopted teachings of various figures such as Buddha. Some say there is no religion called Hinduism. Started as Sanatsna Dharma - eternal laws folks have to follow regardless of caste creed sect.
There is also something called svadharma - duties of individuals as f(caste). This is taught in the Bhagwad Gita. Apparently Svadharma supercedes Sanatana Dharma in case of conflict. This is the only concept taught in the Gita I disagree with.
sanatana dharma (Hinduism) – Encyclopedia Britannica
In the South the Bhakti movement started. Which brought in lots of rituals. Giving the “religion” more (unnecessary IMHO) complexity
Re: where do
can muslims believe in Rebirth in Bhudhism?
Buddhism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And, can muslims believe in (god) Brahma in the Pali Canon?
Re: where do
Agreed with Mr. A on this specific issue.

Religion will be dead concept, like alchemy, sooner rather than later. Humanity will be better for it.
